POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Fire Chief/Captain, the Firefighter will uphold the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians (the Tribe) Fire Departments stated mission statement, core values, and goals. Firefighters are required to perform skilled emergency service work including fire suppression, emergency medical, hazardous materials, and non-emergency duties such as fuel reduction, fire prevention, public assistance and education. Firefighters must be able work for extended periods of time at emergency incidents that may involve physical exertion often under adverse environmental conditions. This position is an arduous position and subject to medical screening, physical fitness training, and random drug testing. This job description is for the entry-level and seasonal classifications.
This position may or may not be engaged in firefighting activities, but will be directly working under supervision in training, fuels reduction projects, team building, outdoor recreation management, and various projects that require basic use of a variety of firefighting tools and techniques.
 
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Participates in station, apparatus, and equipment maintenance and training activities.</li>
<li>Operates and drives fire department vehicles and apparatus.</li>

<li>Superviser les pompiers</li>
<li>Procéder à une évaluation des risques afin d'identifier tout risque associé au travail/à l'activité</li>
<li>Organiser des sessions de formation périodiques pour les pompiers et les autres employés</li>
<li>Organiser l'intervention en cas d'incident ou de début d'incendie</li>
<li>Assurer la liaison avec les pompiers de la ville en cas d'incendie ou d'incident nécessitant leur intervention.</li>
<li>Veiller à ce que tous les équipements de lutte contre l'incendie soient toujours prêts à intervenir.</li>
<li>Signaler tout incident d'incendie.</li>
<li>Exécuter d'autres tâches assignées par le responsable HSE.</li>

Education and Work Experience
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in HSE; Professional Qualification in Fire System</li>
<li>Minimum of six (6) years relevant experience.</li>
</ul>

<li>Bac + 3 en HSE ; qualification professionnelle en systèmes d'incendie</li>
<li>Minimum de six (6) ans d'expérience pertinente.</li>
</ul>
Skills and Competencies

<li>In-depth understanding of the cement manufacturing industry trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, legislation etc.</li>
<li>Sound knowledge and understanding of the organisation’s product and service offerings.</li>
<li>Very good knowledge of inventory planning and management principles and techniques</li>
<li>Good understanding of the distribution and logistics network in Cameroon and assigned region</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of local and DCCI approved HSE policies</li>
<li>Sound oral and written communication skills</li>
<li>Good organization and project management skills</li>
<li>Good leadership and relationship management skills</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Ability to take initiative and act proactively</li>
