GENERAL SUMMARY Serves as Credit Union liaison responsible for providing Teller services to members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
<ul>
<li>Perform routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers and check cashing.</li>
<li>Provide routine information on Credit Union services and policies, including eligibility for membership, types of accounts, rates, and office hours.</li>
<li>Respond to members' requests, problems, and complaints, and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.</li>
<li>Explain member services available at the Credit Union.</li>
<li>Process mail and night deposit transactions.</li>
<li>Provide members with account status, including current balances and loan payoffs.</li>
<li>Keep up on all Credit Union procedures and services.</li>
<li>Deposit members' funds into CD and IRA accounts.</li>
<li>Issue cashier checks and money orders.</li>
<li>Balance drawer at end of day.</li>
<li>Provide members with the forms necessary to transact business at the Credit Union.</li>
<li>Cross-sell products and services offered by the Credit Union.</li>
<li>Maintain current knowledge of all Credit Union policies and procedures, including compliance with federal laws and regulations as set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.</li>

SUMMARY

The position of Teller is responsible for performing routine branch and customer services duties; accepts retail and commercial checking and savings deposits; processes loan payments; cashes checks and savings withdrawals; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.
Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

<ol>
<li>Receives retail and commercial checking and savings deposits by determining that all necessary deposit documents are in proper form, and issuing receipts.</li>
</ol>
<ol>
<li>Cashes checks, savings withdrawals and makes cash advances; confirms all necessary documents are properly authorized, are in proper form and are within authorized limits; makes decisions when questionable items are presented for cashing.</li>
</ol>

<li>Operates computer terminal or personal computer to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within given authority.</li>

<li>Issues official checks, traveler’s checks and savings bond applications.</li>

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The position includes driving a Bank or personal owned vehicle approximately 10 % of the time which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc. 

The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.
