Premium Health’s Women’s Health practice is split into two divisions, OBGYN/MFM and REI. The REI unit is made up of a team of clinically renowned providers including two REI specialists and their medical teams. In addition, the REI unit houses an integrated fertility counseling program that aims to provide mental health support for patients who are engaged in fertility treatment. This position sits in the REI (Fertility) unit and offers candidates the opportunity to speak with patients to go over treatment requirements, labs, and medications, as well as educating patients on treatment protocols. The Patient Care Coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating patient
care, educating patients, and ensuring effective communication throughout the fertility treatment process. This role would require regularly communicating with patients regarding lab results, coordinating appointments, and therapy changes in addition to educating patients on treatment protocols and medications, ensuring they understand their care plan and medication usage.
 
Ideal candidates will have excellent documentation and communication skills, be a team player and very detail-oriented, and adapt quickly to changes throughout their day while collaborating with clinical staff.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Ultrasound Technologist (sonographer) performs diagnostic procedures utilizing a background in anatomy, physiology, physics and instrumentation to provide technical information to aid the physician. GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Medical Sonographer functions as a healthcare professional providing clinically relevant information to assist the supervising physician with the diagnosis and treatment by acquiring ultrasound imaging. Works closely with the radiologist and assisting with interventional procedures, presenting images and data for interpretation. Accepts additional assignments and tasks as department needs evolve. Sonographer performance is consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with professional standards in accordance with the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the facility policies and procedures.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

<li>Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations in accordance with infectious disease, patient safety, protocols, policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Adept at explaining the ultrasound process and helping patient to relax.</li>
<li>Ensure examination order is complete, contains relevant clinical information and meets standard of “medical necessity”.</li>
<li>Evaluate any contraindications, patient prep, and the patient’s inability or unwillingness to tolerate the examination.</li>

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to communicable diseases, blood and bodily fluids, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to radiology settings. No weekends, no nights, no call and no holidays in an outpatient setting

Combination of walking, bending, reaching, lifting transferring activities. Must be able to use correct body mechanics to assist patients appropriately. Occasional stress from multiple requests.

Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Determines test procedures according to the purpose of the examination.</li>
<li>Explains procedures to patients and assists patients in the proper positioning for the test.</li>
<li>Selects transducer and makes equipment adjustments according to the nature of test, depth of field, and other test specifications.</li>
<li>Enters test data and patient information into the computer to become part of the test record.</li>
<li>Conducts actual test procedures. Moves transducer by hand over specified area of body and observes sound wave display screen to monitor the quality of the ultrasound image produced.</li>
<li>Records diagnostic data on magnetic tape, computer disk, strip printout, or film.</li>
<li>Produces a permanent record of test results.</li>
<li>Checks equipment on a regular basis to ensure proper operation.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned within scope of practice.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
<ul>
<li>One (1) years of clinical and related experience</li>
<li>RVT or RVS required </li>
<li>Must be a graduate of an approved course in medical sonography.</li>
<li>Clinical experience sufficient to be eligible for registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.</li>
<li>Successful completion of exam with ARDMS required. </li>
<li>Experience with Vascular preferred but not required </li>
