<li>Expedite vendors and subcontractors on a daily and weekly basis, identify and resolve construction problems as they develop, and keep the project on schedule</li>
<li>Maintain accurate time-keeping and cost records</li>
<li>Plan, staff and manage self-performance activities</li>
<li>Review weekly labor reports and monthly total job cost reports carefully to determine areas needing special attention, and initiate changes and procedures to bring costs back into budget</li>
<li>Manage the Quality Control Program</li>
<li>Comply with all jobsite reporting requirements, including daily reports, SOS, weekly unit reports, weekly updates to the “two week look-aheads” and monthly updates to the construction schedule</li>

<li>Mitigate all potential subcontractor change orders and back-charges that may affect project profitability and document them to the extent required.</li>

Position Summary
Client of Express Employment Professionals is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented&nbsp;Buyer&nbsp;to support procurement activities in&nbsp;power generation&nbsp;and&nbsp;turbine operations. This role is responsible for sourcing materials and components, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery to support production goals. Ideal candidates will have experience in turbine systems, industrial equipment, or energy sector procurement.
Essential Functions
<ul>
<li>Source and purchase mechanical, electrical, and turbine-related components to support manufacturing and operations</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, price, and delivery targets</li>
<li>Monitor market trends and supplier performance to optimize cost and lead times</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to align purchasing decisions with product requirements</li>
<li>Review purchase requisitions and issue POs in accordance with company policies</li>
<li>Track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and maintain accurate records in procurement systems</li>
<li>Support negotiations for contracts and long-term supply agreements</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with quality standards and corporate procurement policies</li>
<li>Identify cost-saving opportunities and support inventory control initiatives</li>

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in procurement (power generation, turbine systems, or industrial equipment strongly preferred)</li>
<li>Understanding of supply chain principles, inventory control, and contract negotiations</li>
<li>Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Experience sourcing turbine parts or rotating equipment</li>
<li>Familiarity with ISO standards and vendor audits</li>
<li>Knowledge of energy sector regulatory compliance</li>
<li>APICS or ISM certification is a plus</li>
</ul>
