What You’ll Do

Instruction &amp; Student Support

<li>Provide direct Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) in-person or virtually to support literacy development</li>
<li>Monitor student progress on ELA-related IEP goals and adjust instruction based on data</li>
<li>Collaborate with general education ELA teachers to ensure appropriate accommodations and instructional supports are implemented</li>

IEP Development &amp; Case Management
<ul>

Draft IEPs that include ELA-focused academic goals, accommodations, and literacy supports
</li>

Conduct ELA-related academic assessments and prepare clear, data-driven reports
</li>

Collaborate with related service providers (OT, SLP, etc.) to ensure literacy needs are accurately reflected in the IEP
</li>
<li>
Ensure all instructional components of the IEP are accurate, aligned to student needs, and submitted on time
</li>
<li>
Participate in IEP meetings to present assessment findings and proposed literacy goals
</li>
</ul>
Communication &amp; Collaboration
<ul>
<li>
Maintain regular communication with families, including monthly check-ins
</li>
<li>
Liaise with general education teachers and service providers to track student progress
</li>
<li>
Provide consultation and professional guidance on accommodations and modifications
</li>
</ul>
Documentation &amp; Compliance
<ul>
<li>
Maintain up-to-date service logs, contact logs, and student data
</li>

Draft and submit Prior Written Notices, Assessment Plans, ITPs, and other required documents

Track IEP timelines and ensure timely delivery of all services and reports
