The CDL Route Driver Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, and to transport students and school district authorized passengers on field trips, activities and special outings as assigned.

Essential Functions

<li>Report to bus garage before scheduled departure time to check with dispatcher for any changes in normal duties or student passenger changes.</li>
<li>Perform DOT required pre-trip inspection and complete a radio check before starting each route.</li>
<li>Pick-up students at assigned stops, ensuring children safely board the bus and are seated before proceeding to the next stop.</li>
<li>Enforce rules for proper discipline during ride. Report to Site Manager any student who refuses to cooperate in observing safety rules. Report of any serious incident and communicate with the Site Manager so matter can be discussed with school authorities.</li>
<li>Safely operate the bus by following all traffic laws, state and federal transit regulations. Carefully navigates roads, watch for ice, debris or slippery stops. Follow safety procedures to ensure that they and all students are safe.</li>

<li>Transport students and school district authorized passengers to field trips, sporting events and other activities.</li>

<li>Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions.</li>
<li>Communicate changes in payroll policies, procedures, and deadlines to employees.</li>
<li>Processes weekly payroll, direct deposits, and submits benefits files to vendors.</li>
<li>Responsible for timely tax payments, and tax reporting through W-2's.</li>
<li>Certified payroll, and prevailing wage reporting.</li>
<li>Employment verifications.</li>
<li>Compile reports as needed.</li>
<li>Complete testing for software upgrades.</li>
<li>Complete special projects as requested, and perform other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.</li>
<li>Minimum of five (5) years payroll processing experience.</li>
<li>CPP Certification preferred.</li>
<li>Must have experience with multi-state payrolls</li>
<li>Must have experience with multiple unions.</li>
</ul>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

<li>Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.</li>
<li>Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.</li>
<li>Visual acuity and ability to read small print.</li>
<li>Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.</li>
<li>Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment. </li>
<li>Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed.</li>
