A person that takes pride in their work and work ethic. We make Structural steel and Miscellaneous metal fabrications. We offer competitive wages and benefits. The shop is heated in the winter.
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>- You must have a minimum of 3+ years Fabricating/ Fitting in a structural steel fabrication shop</li>
<li>- You must proficiently do layout/fit-up of some complex beams, columns, and misc. steel fabrications from blueprints</li>
<li>- You must be able to read a tape measure and add/subtract dimensions</li>
<li>- You will need to use a mig welder, cutting torch and various shop fabrication tools</li>
<li>- Must be dependable, hard-working, and able to work as a team player</li>
<li>- This is a full-time position( 6 am-2:30 pm) with overtime when needed</li>

Mechanical Design Engineer
The Mechanical Design Engineer position involves coordinating with engineers, the CAD department, and manufacturing teams to ensure stakeholder satisfaction with projects. This role reviews project performance and looks for potential improvements. The Mechanical Design Engineer assesses potential new uses for CAD within the organization, keeps the department’s software, techniques, and tools up to date, assists in establishing departmental mechanical design standards, and ensures design for manufacturability. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining technical drawings, visual representations of products, assembly instructions, and ensuring adherence to common practices within the CAD team.
Job Duties: 
Project Coordination
<ul>

Collaborate with engineers, CAD team members, and manufacturing personnel to ensure designs meet functional and production requirements.

Facilitate effective communication across departments to ensure alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
</li>
</ul>
Design Development
<ul>
<li>
Create and maintain detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and product visualizations using industry-standard CAD software.
</li>
<li>
Develop and update assembly instructions and documentation to support manufacturing and quality assurance processes.
</li>
</ul>
Performance Review &amp; Improvement
<ul>
<li>
Monitor and assess ongoing project performance to identify design bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
</li>
<li>
Recommend and implement improvements to optimize CAD workflows and output quality.
</li>
</ul>
Standards &amp; Compliance
<ul>
<li>
Establish, document, and enforce mechanical design standards and best practices across the department.
</li>
<li>
Ensure that all designs meet manufacturability standards and adhere to company guidelines and industry norms.
</li>
</ul>
Quality Control
<ul>
<li>
Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior CAD staff, promoting consistency and continuous improvement.
</li>
<li>
Review CAD outputs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design and documentation standards.
</li>
</ul>
Team Guidance &amp; Quality Control

Qualifications:

Minimum
<ul>

Education &amp; Experience:
<ul>

2-Year Technical Degree in Mechanical Drafting, Design, or Engineering
</li>
<li>
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical or industrial design
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
Design experience with sheet metal and fabrication 
</li>
<li>
Design experience with structural steel
</li>
<li>
Design experience with various fastening methods such as welding, hardware, rivets, etc
</li>
<li>
SolidWorks/Inventor and AutoCAD experience
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
Other Requirements:
<ul>
<li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for creating charts and performing calculations
</li>
<li>
Performs effectively in ambiguous situations
</li>
<li>
Strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze and solve problems

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
