Role and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility for this position is the programming, operation and maintenance of our new nested-base feed-through CNC Router. This CNC Router is a key piece of machinery in Closet Factory's production of custom cabinetry along with a fully automated Edgebander, Sliding Table Saw and several purpose-specific work areas. The CNC Operator will operate, maintain and use software to produce quality components for our cabinetry. Our woodworking facility produces all of the wood components to complete our cabinet product line using the 32-millimeter system. The woodworkers in our factory produce each job and check it for accuracy and quality.

Job Description
Summary: Astrodyne TDI is seeking a skilled and hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Transformer Business Unit in Foster City, California. This individual will lead the design and development of power conversion systems, including low, medium, and high voltage transformers &amp; inductors, working closely with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, project execution, and customer-focused engineering, and enjoy working on innovative products for industrial, medical, military, and aerospace applications. 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Lead the design and development of low, medium, and high voltage transformers, inductors, power distribution units, and power conversion and control products.</li>
<li>Collaborate with program management and cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering.</li>
<li>Generate product specifications for new R&amp;D efforts and customer requirements.</li>
<li>Apply tools such as Cadence, Creo, and Rale to model and analyze electrical designs.</li>
<li>Generate complete manufacturing documentation, including schematic diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, work instructions, and test procedures.</li>
<li>Perform MTBF and DFMEA analyses to validate reliability and mitigate design risk.</li>
<li>Develop and execute design verification test (DVT) procedures and support root cause analysis and troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Directly interface with customers to ensure product performance aligns with application and compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers and support best practices for design for manufacturability (DFM) and engineering excellence.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years in medium or high voltage electrical systems design.</li>
<li>Proven experience in transformer and power system development.</li>
<li>Deep understanding of electrical components used in power conversion and transformer applications.</li>
<li>Familiarity with agency compliance (UL, CSA, VDE, CE).</li>
</ul>
Preferred Tools &amp; Skills:
<ul>
<li>Proficiency with Cadence, Creo, Rale.</li>
<li>Familiarity with medium and high voltage design practices and manufacturing techniques.</li>
<li>Strong analytical, communication, and technical leadership skills.</li>
</ul>
Salary Range: $125,000-$175,000
