Import Agent (Ocean &amp; Air)
I.K. Hofmann USA is seeking a full-time Import Agent to join our import team. The Import Agent is responsible for processing documentation required by US Customs and Border Protection for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers. Industry experience is required, and compensation will depend upon that experience.
 
Job Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provide impeccable customer service</li>
<li>Maintain and keep current all customs compliance documentation</li>
<li>Perform track and trace functions with carriers and ports.</li>
<li>Monitoring detention and demurrage cutoffs, escalating to management when necessary.</li>
<li>Arrange both delivery and the invoicing of the import account for services rendered</li>
<li>Mandatory daily correspondence with overseas and domestic agents, as well as airlines, steamship lines, and co-loaders</li>
<li>Work closely with other departments to deliver high level of service to customers.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>
<li>Report all issues to customers and management affecting clearance and delivery in a timely manner in writing or verbally</li>
<li>Reporting freight discrepancies to management</li>
<li>Ensure that all files contain all necessary document copies</li>
<li>Has at least 2 years of experience with Import/ Export.</li>
</ul>
 
Essential functions:
<ul>
<li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.</li>
<li>Occasionally move about inside the office to access invoices, office machinery, etc.</li>
<li>Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a computer, calculator, copier, and printer. </li>
<li>Ability to work with demanding deadlines</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written</li>
<li>Must be detail oriented, thorough and accurate. Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks, must be organized</li>
<li>Work effectively via phone, fax, e-mail. Good planning and organization skills; ability to multitask and be a self-starter</li>
</ul>

<li>Occasionally work in extremely bright or dim lighting conditions.</li>

Requirements:

<li>Education: GED/High School desired Experience</li>
</ul>

Shift hours &amp; Payrate:
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm Payrate $20- $24 an hour

We are looking for an immediate long-term contract opening for a Warehouse Cargo Agent in Atlanta, GA for our client in a Cargo facility. We are looking for ambitious &amp; detail-oriented individuals to perform faced paced warehouse cargo work, under supervision.Cargo Agentswill contribute to the timely delivery of cargo shipments for our business to the customer delivery system while operating safely and securely. We are looking for a reliable,ambitious, detail-oriented individual to perform faced paced warehouse cargo work under supervision.
 
Responsibilities:

<li>Unload cargo containers (ULD) from aircraft within confined areas</li>
<li>Build Pallets</li>
<li>Read "off-load" sheets to determine the destination of cargo.</li>
<li>Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without assistance of sight or visual aids.</li>
<li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.</li>

Job Summary
The Senior Receiving Tech coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Receiving Department and is responsible for the accurate and timely receiving of all items delivered from vendors and carriers. This position maintains the security of the area to prevent loss and damage to both incoming and outgoing materials/supplies. This position also oversees the Receiving techs in the absence of the Manager.
 
Job Responsibilities
Maintains security of receiving department/loading dock
Maintains necessary files and records to account for all materials shipped, received, and delivered
Assists Purchasing and Accounts Payable staff in reconciling discrepancies between invoices and P.O.
Inspects freight for damages, defects, or discrepancies
Oversees receiving department/loading dock in absence of manager
Verifies accuracy of incoming shipment against purchase order (P.O.) in MMIS system
Receives incoming materials, supplies, and equipment
 
Job Requirements
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED is required</li>
<li>Clean driving record</li>
<li>One to three years of experience working in shipping/receiving, warehouse distribution, or inventory control environment is preferred</li>
<li>Experience processing of healthcare products deliveries is preferred</li>
</ul>
