Qualifications
Candidates should possess an MFA in a studio art discipline by the time of appointment. Candidate should have university-level teaching experience with an emphasis on drawing from direct observation and the elements and principles essential to 2D design. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching drawing and 2D design classes within the foundations area of our department. The ability to work collaboratively with other foundations faculty to maintain the studios and in developing a consistent curriculum is essential. A strong record of creative scholarship and evidence of an active exhibition record is preferred. The ability to seek external funding is strongly encouraged to support research. Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor of Environmental Science 
The Department of Geography and the Environment at Villanova University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor (continuing non-tenure track) position in Environmental Science starting in August 2024. We seek a colleague to teach in the environmental sciences to support the growth of the Department’s undergraduate programs. A Ph.D. in environmental science or a related field is required. Exceptional candidates with at least six years of full-time undergraduate teaching experience will be considered for the rank of Associate Teaching Professor. Opportunities for promotion to Associate Teaching Professor and Full Teaching Professor exist with demonstrated excellence and leadership in teaching, ongoing scholarly engagement, and a strong record of service to the institution. The position is a 9-month academic appointment, and the incumbent will teach 16 contact hours per semester (for example, one course consisting of three hours of lecture plus three three-hour labs per week, or two separate courses each consisting of three hours of lecture and three-hours in lab each week). Our new colleague will primarily teach the two-semester introductory environmental science lecture and laboratory sequence for undergraduate Environmental Science and Environmental Studies majors, and there is also the opportunity to develop and teach more advanced courses and/or courses for non-majors. Excellence in teaching is the primary responsibility of this continuing non-tenure track position.&nbsp; In addition, our new colleague will be expected to demonstrate continued scholarly engagement with their discipline, develop new educational materials, mentor undergraduate independent research, and participate in departmental and institutional functions and committees. A willingness to mentor students from a wide range of disciplines, cultures, and academic backgrounds is essential. We are especially interested in candidates whose teaching will contribute to the Department's commitment to diversity and academic excellence. The successful candidate will provide evidence of teaching effectiveness and compelling plans to develop student-professor research partnerships.
The Department of Geography and the Environment serves as a multidisciplinary academic unit linking the social and natural sciences within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and across the curriculum at Villanova University. The Department of Geography and the Environment offers B.S. and M.S. degrees in Environmental Science and B.A. degrees in Geography and Environmental Studies. The Department’s overarching objective is to integrate the disciplines of geography and environmental science to understand the spatial patterns of human systems and landscapes, environmental processes, and the effect of people on the environment. The State University of New York, Upstate Medical University’s Norton College of Medicine (SUNY Upstate) is seeking a Division Chief for Hematology/Oncology to oversee the growth and expansion of an already highly-respected division within the institution. The Opportunity
The Chief, Division of Hematology/Oncology is the academic, clinical, and administrative leader of the Division of Hematology/Oncology at SUNY Upstate. With the support and dedication of the new Chair of Medicine (<a href="https://www.upstate.edu/news/articles/2023/2023-03-20-taub.php" target="_blank">Cynthia Taub, MD, MBA</a>), the Division Chief has the opportunity to build a nationally recognized program while leading and directing programmatic, clinical, research and educational development within the Division, and will liaise with other divisions, departments, and institutional leadership in the SUNY Upstate Cancer Center.

The Upstate Cancer Center is the leading cancer program in Central New York providing world-class multidisciplinary care for the nearly 1.8 million residents of Central New York integrated with robust research and educational programs.&nbsp; The Cancer Center operates out of a dedicated 150,000 square foot state-of-art facility adjacent to the main academic campus that supports comprehensive multidisciplinary cancer programs. Regional cancer care is provided in 8 satellite offices with a new multidisciplinary center opening in 2023.
