Your Responsibilities:
As a Travel OB/L&amp;D RN at Northern Navajo Medical Center, you’ll provide family-centered care through all stages of labor, delivery, postpartum, and recovery. You’ll manage laboring patients, assist with deliveries (vaginal and cesarean), and ensure both mothers and newborns receive the safest, most compassionate care possible.
 
Key Duties Include:
<ul>
<li>Monitoring fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs</li>
<li>Supporting patients through labor and delivery using evidence-based practices&nbsp;</li>
<li>Administering medications (including epidurals and oxytocin) and managing IVs&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assisting physicians with vaginal births and C-sections&nbsp;</li>
<li>Performing newborn assessments and supporting breastfeeding initiation&nbsp;</li>
<li>Educating patients and families on postpartum care and newborn health&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with hospital policies&nbsp;</li>
<li>Collaborating closely with OB providers, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

Responsibilities
About the Role
During a visit that can last up to one hour, Matrix providers review and observe a member’s current health, medical history, medication adherence, social environment and other risks. This provides unmatched insight into a member’s overall health and well-being that can be difficult to capture during routine office visits. The Matrix Comprehensive Health Assessment (CHA) helps to improve quality of care and allows us to potentially close multiple care gaps with a single visit. Our providers:

<li>Conduct adult / geriatric assessments to include medical history, diagnosis and treatment, health education, physician referrals, case management referrals, follow-up and clear documentation according to Matrix guidelines and protocols</li>
<li>Administer and order point of care and lab-based testing as needed</li>
<li>Work with physicians, case managers, social workers, family members, key caregivers, and ancillary medical personnel as appropriate</li>
<li>Collaborate with Primary Care Physician (PCP) on patient education and follow up as necessary</li>
<li>Provide services at the member’s place of residence which can be in their homes or Skilled Nursing Facilities</li>
</ul>

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

<li>Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders</li>
<li>ASHA certification</li>
<li>State Speech Language Pathology License</li>
</ul>
Every state requires all Speech Language Pathologists to have a state license. If you do not have a license for a specific state, the licensing team at PDS will help you through the process!
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will spend your day helping improve the lives of children. Setting them up for success both in the school setting and beyond is meaningful work that builds a rewarding career!
You will provide high-quality services to students based on their IEPs/504 plans. Conducting evaluations, assessments, and writing reports, you determine their strengths and areas of concern in speech, fluency, language, and oral motor skills.
