Job Summary
 
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs high-complexity testing and provides scientific support to ensure accurate, reliable toxicology results in accordance with CLIA Subpart M, Montana licensure requirements, and accreditation standards (COLA/CAP). The CLS contributes to method verification, quality assessment, corrective actions, and training within the toxicology laboratory.

Job DescriptionSUMMARY Community Resource Center provides assessments, programming, employment, cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive services and social services referrals for adult male and female adult offenders under the supervision of the New Jersey State Parole Board in the counties of Mercer, Burlington and Hunterdon Counties. Services include, but are not limited to: intake/orientation, assessments, treatment planning, offender supervision, educational services, vocational/employment services, substance abuse education and referrals to licensed treatment providers, community service, independent living skills, family counseling, mental health assessments and referrals, nutrition/meals, transportation and discharge planning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: The successful candidate shall report to the Program Supervisor. The responsibilities are providing direct supervision to case manager and ensuring clients receive appropriate services based on assessed need, and supports the overall service component of the program, ensures the provision of treatment program. &nbsp;

Additional job-related skills include: working with addictive personalities; a basic understanding of human behavior; and utilizing group dynamics to address special needs populations. Effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact appropriately with clientele is important. A thorough working knowledge of social learning theory, cognitive-behavioral intervention and approaches, assessment and evaluation, willingness to work flexible hours, which may include weekends and evenings, and demonstrated competencies in training, group interaction, and mentoring is required. We are hiring a Clinical Research Coordinator for our West Valley City, UT location. The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) supports early-phase oncology trials under senior research staff guidance. Ensuring compliance with protocols, regulations, and patient safety standards, the CRC manages patient participation, data collection, and adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Overseeing multiple protocols, they coordinate trial activities, implement protocol requirements, and provide accurate updates to the research team. 
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
Essential Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Communicate regularly with study sponsors, CROs, and staff regarding protocol status, questions, and concerns.</li>
<li>Monitor daily study conduct to ensure compliance with protocols, SOPs, and Good Clinical Practice.</li>
<li>Create and review trial forms to maintain protocol compliance.</li>
<li>Implement protocols and amendments, training staff involved in patient treatment and management.</li>
<li>Assist with patient screening, eligibility determination, and the informed consent process.</li>
<li>Identify and address protocol deviations, coordinating corrective actions with leadership.</li>
<li>Support data coordination, including case report form completion, query resolution, and closeout activities.</li>

Education &amp; Experience
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or GED.</li>
<li>2 years of clinical research experience.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of oncology clinical trials, particularly Phase 1 studies.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and documentation.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li>

Clinical Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist
The Clinical Laboratory Assistant is responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures, blood processing, obtaining lab results from reference laboratories, maintenance of computer generated logs and reports related to patient testing, billing and other lab related duties. This staff position works in conjunction with the billing office to coordinate patient charges and collect payment at the time of services.
The Clinical Laboratory Assistant must demonstrate knowledge and skills in phlebotomy, blood processing, and administrative and patient care duties related to the clinical laboratory. He/she reports directly to the Clinical Laboratory Manager. This position also takes direction from the Assistant Laboratory Manager and Medical Technologists.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

<li>Provides phlebotomy services to clinical laboratory patients according to established procedures and protocols including proper patient identification, patient preparation, specimen collection and labeling.</li>
<li>Confirms all patient demographic information with patient per established protocols, requests and facilitates correction of all inaccuracies.</li>
<li>Confirms accuracy of patient insurance information and ensures use of contracted reference laboratory when appropriate per established procedures. Routes billing information correctly as “bill insurance”; “bill patient”; or “bill client”.</li>
<li>Correctly processes samples per established protocols for testing including required transportation and storage conditions, completion of requisition forms, and transmission of electronic data per protocol.</li>
<li>Generates correct billing, charges, and payment information as required for laboratory services.</li>
<li>Keeps work area clean and tidy at all times. Follow blood borne pathogen handling and disposal procedures per OSHA guidelines.</li>
<li>Assures availability of adequate supplies for phlebotomy procedures. Perform inventory at pre-established intervals; order supplies to maintain minimum inventory levels.</li>
<li>Reviews and maintains the RSO to reflect appropriate current and pending orders on a daily and weekly basis.</li>
<li>Works with genetic laboratories to ensure proper billing; resolves any patient billing complaints and issues.</li>

<li>Participates in quality assurance and improvement activities on an ongoing basis as defined by laboratory management and quality team.</li>
<li>Consistently protects computer access by locking and signing off computer programs when needed.</li>

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>Current phlebotomy certification required.</li>
<li>One year phlebotomy experience required.</li>

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office and clinical setting with frequent use of medical instrumentation and equipment, supplies and materials. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, including computer keyboards and mice; telephones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets. 
The duties of this position involves an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids or tissues or a potential for spills and splashes from them. Appropriate protective measures are required for every employee engaged in these tasks. The duties of this position also involve occasionally exerting 75 pounds of force, and/or up to 35 pounds of force frequently.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; will frequently stand and/or walk; use hands and fingers to grasp, pick, pinch, type; and reach with arms and hands.
