The Specimen Collector is a key role at Millennium Health. As our representative, this position provides exemplary care and exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and our laboratory. 
As a Specimen Collector:

<li>Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens </li>
<li>Process and package collections for shipping </li>
<li>Serve as an intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory </li>
<li>Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information </li>
<li>Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal </li>
<li>Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite </li>
<li>Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable) </li>
<li>Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required </li>

Requirements
Ideal Candidate: 
<ul>
<li>6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients preferred </li>

<li>Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer required </li>
<li>Valid driver’s license required </li>

<li>Minimum 3-years’ experience working with the frail and elderly in acute, long-term care or community based setting.</li>

Clinical Leadership &amp; Supervision
<ul>

Directly supervise Clinical Therapists, Licensed Addiction Counselors, Contract Therapists, Peer Support Specialists, and Canyon House Sober Living staff.
</li>
<li>
Oversee case supervision for drug court and intensive outpatient (IOP) staff.
</li>
<li>
Provide indirect clinical guidance, audits, and corrective action planning for co-occurring programs.
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
Program Planning &amp; Quality Assurance
<ul>
<li>
Lead development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs aligned with mission and evidence-based standards
</li>
<li>
Review weekly/monthly metrics and incident reports; take and monitor corrective action.
</li>
<li>
Collaborate with the Quality Director to address serious incidents within one business day.
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
Training &amp; Workforce Development
<ul>

Develop and deliver staff training initiatives (e.g., motivational interviewing, DBT, CBT).

Mentor staff and promote ongoing professional development .

Compliance &amp; Reporting

Maintain program compliance with state licensing, federal standards, and HIPAA.

Ensure timely and accurate submission of assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.

Conduct EMR utilization reviews and chart audits.
</li>

Collaboration &amp; Community Engagement

Cultivate relationships with community partners, courts, providers, and vendors.

Support grant proposals and participate in CQI committees.

Represent the organization in collaborative initiatives and external meetings.

Administrative &amp; Operational Oversight
<ul>
<li>
Manage clinical staffing logistics: scheduling, hires, schedules, coverage, and leaves.

Deliver direct therapy services as needed to maintain service continuity.

Uphold organizational goals and adapt to evolving departmental needs.
</li>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
</li>
<li>
Minimum of three years’ supervisory experience in addiction and mental health clinical settings.
</li>
<li>
Have your LCPC or LCSW in Montana or eligible to be licensed within 90 days.
</li>
<li>
Certifications: Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, CPR, First Aid. Training provided by New Day, Inc.
</li>
<li>
Valid Montana driver’s license with a clean, insurable record; must complete I-9 compliance.
</li>
<li>
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
</li>
<li>
Proficient in interpreting clinical data to drive improvements.
</li>
