Practice Overview:

<li>Part-time role is a minimum of 3 days per week. Full time role is 4 - 5 days per week.</li>
<li>This is a mobile practice: The physicians visit facilities in a 40 – 60 mile radius of practice location.</li>
<li>Our physicians visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.</li>
<li>Clinical documentation is at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using our proprietary wound specific EMR.</li>

Functional Responsibilities

<li>The Chief/Site Director will have responsibility for the daily management of the SLC Department of Anesthesiology’s clinical and administrative activities. He or she will perform the tasks that are necessary for the department to provide quality care and overall patient satisfaction with anesthesiology services at the campus.</li>
<li>Assign daily duties and responsibilities to anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and assist them to effectively carry out those duties and responsibilities.</li>
<li>Coordinate with the nursing and surgical staff to assure the daily operating room schedule runs efficiently.</li>
<li>Manage the Pre-anesthesia Evaluation process.</li>
<li>Resolve medical issues through evaluating patients and deciding if the patient is optimized for the procedure.</li>
<li>Monitor clinical performance to assure compliance with the departmental standards, policies, and procedures, the Joint Commission, Department of Health and OSHA standards.</li>
<li>Implement Departmental policies and procedures as directed by the Chair</li>
<li>Ensure faculty comply with quality improvement program</li>
<li>Address issues reported by the surgical, nursing, or administrative staff regarding quality of care, unsafe practices, delivered by staff members and report to the Chair as appropriate</li>
<li>Maintain a collegial environment and resolve conflicts between anesthesiology and all members of SLC.</li>

<li>Assumes primary responsibility for caseload, including assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the plan of treatment.</li>
<li>Assesses patient needs and obtains data on physical, psychological, social, and spiritual factors that may influence patient/family/caregiver health status and incorporate that data into the plan of care.</li>
<li>Makes the initial evaluation and re-evaluates the patient’s nursing needs during each visit. Makes follow up visits according to patient, family, and facility needs.</li>
<li>Communicates significant findings, problems, and changes in health condition, environment, or unsafe facility conditions to the Clinical Supervisor, physician, facility, and/or other personnel involved with patient care.</li>
<li>Revises the plan of care in response to identified patient care issues and notifies the Clinical Supervisor, physician, facility, and other team members.</li>

What is Required?
<ul>
<li>Current, unrestricted state RN licensee</li>
<li>1+ year experience in a clinical care setting as a nurse</li>
<li>Able and willing to travel within branch/office coverage area.</li>
<li>Must have a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance in accordance with state laws.</li>
<li>Must be able and willing to travel 50%</li>
<li>Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred</li>
<li>Previous Home Health or Hospice Experience is preferred</li>
<li>Previous experience with HomeCare HomeBase is preferred</li>
</ul>
