For almost 50 years, Sasha Bruce has implemented innovative interventions aimed at ending youth homelessness in the DC region. It serves all youth up to age 24 with no other eligibility requirements or time limits on how frequently they can utilize services. The Youth Drop In Center is open for services Monday – Friday from 8 am to 6 pm with weekend programming scheduled periodically. The Center provides the following services:

Qualifications:  
<ul>
<li>Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in social work, Masters strongly preferred </li>
<li>Minimum of three to five years of experience working with youth </li>
<li>Strong knowledge of community resources </li>
<li>Understanding of harm reduction philosophy, trauma-informed provision of services and positive youth development strategies; </li>
<li>Genuine interest in working with disenfranchised youth and young adults; </li>
<li>Flexible schedule - position may require some weekend and evening hours; </li>
<li>Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are a plus; </li>
<li>Experience working with LGBTQ youth is a plus; </li>
<li>Strong communication and organization skills; </li>
<li>Dynamic energy, able to multi-task and negotiate multiple demands on attention; </li>
<li>Ability to translate positive youth development techniques into practice; </li>
