Soar is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive life-shaping services that support them to thrive. We prioritize early intervention, comprehensive supportive services, and positive, developmentally appropriate learning that meets the needs of each unique child and family. Specifically, we focus on integrated autism care that serves the needs of young children with autism.
Role overview:
<ul>
<li>
Plan and implement naturalistic occupational therapy for young children ages 2-6 years old in a center-based setting
</li>
<li>
Develop interventions for young clients to support client gross motor skills, fine motor skills, feeding, and other activities of daily living
</li>
<li>
Conduct multidisciplinary assessments and create treatment plans in coordination with other clinical specialties (ABA, speech, psychology) as well as perform co-treatments with the speech therapy team
</li>
<li>
Coach and mentor a team of RBTs to effectively translate OT goals into their therapy, and support their career growth and progression
</li>
<li>
Monitor client progress, update treatment plans and goals, and communicate needed changes to team members and families
</li>
<li>
Partner with client families to develop goals, build relationships, communicate progress, and coach and support them in their journey
</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>
Have a Masters or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
</li>
<li>
Have your license to practice occupational therapy 
</li>
<li>
Preference to OTs with 3+ years of experience, but also open to new OTs starting their career
</li>
<li>
Embody a playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with young children
</li>
<li>
Clear professional communication, both verbally and in writing
</li>

<li>Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to the profession's high standards</li>
<li>Implement intervention plans crafted by our expert BCBAs, ensuring alignment with Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy principles</li>
<li>Foster relationships with families, consistently updating them on their child's progress within the ABA framework</li>
<li>Engage in ongoing training and development, keeping up-to-date with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification</li>
</ul>
Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Strong preference for either enrollment in or completion of a degree program. Bonus for degrees in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields</li>
<li>Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification (Soar will provide paid training)</li>
<li>Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with children</li>
<li>Ability to work on a team</li>
<li>Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential</li>
<li>Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client</li>
