Job Summary:
To assist with quality dental care and associated services to patients under the general supervision of a dentist using established dental assisting procedures while collaborating in a team environment in a variety of patient care and clinical duties.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

<li>Educates parents and patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.</li>
<li>Takes and develops dental radiographs.</li>
<li>Monitoring nitrous oxide.</li>
<li>Takes initiative with any additional responsibilities the Clinical Coordinator may assign.</li>
<li>Provides support to the back of the house by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; passing instruments, stocking, writing clinical notes and any other clinical tasks as assigned by the Clinical Coordinator.</li>
<li>Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations according to OSHA standards.</li>
<li>Maintain care of units (flush lines, fill h2o bottles, place tablet in h2o, change traps).</li>
<li>Completes daily, weekly, and monthly duties as outlined in OSHA Manual.</li>
