What We're Looking For:
Sante is seeking Full-Time Phone Counselors to join our crisis intervention team in Timonium, MD. The primary goal of the Phone Counselor is to provide appropriate services for both the local hotline as well as the GBRICS call center which includes the 4-county region of callers across Baltimore city, Baltimore County, Howard County, and Carroll County. These services may include supportive counseling, information and referrals, crisis intervention counseling, suicide prevention and intake screening of callers to the Mobile Teams, In Home Intervention Teams, Urgent Care Center and other BCCRS service components. This also includes dispatching appropriate services when needed as well as providing goal directed counseling, crisis planning, and follow up for clients served. 
This is an In-Person role. NOT REMOTE!
 
What You’ll Do:
<ul>
<li>Have the ability to work in a highly stressful environment that deals with frequent suicidal callers.</li>
<li>Assesses each caller’s presenting problem, support systems, coping skills and level of emergency to determine appropriate intervention. </li>
<li>Document all information in appropriate client case.</li>
<li>Can effectively deescalate a client in crisis, over the phone. Develop a rapport with client and maintain objectivity and demeanor on the phone.</li>
<li>Effectively triage a call to the appropriate level of care</li>
<li>Conduct a lethality assessment of client and dispatch appropriate resources (police, EMT, MCT, MRT) when necessary</li>
<li>Completes an environmental risk and safety assessment and relays all information to MCT/MRT/patrol when necessary</li>
<li>Access bed registry and other resources to connect callers to services. </li>
<li>Comply with the GBRICS Crisis Standards in providing services to the community. </li>
<li>Adhere to Lifeline Standards, Crisis Now Standards, and appropriate accrediting bodies best practices when providing services.</li>
<li>If self-identified as a peer, participate in regular peer support sessions. </li>
<li>Comply with the organization’s Secondary Trauma Prevention policy. </li>
<li>Develop appropriate and realistic crisis plan for clients when necessary</li>
<li>Develop appropriate follow up tasks depending on nature and severity of symptoms</li>
<li>Knowledge and familiarity with community resources, both behavioral health and non-behavioral health</li>
<li>Active participation in the ongoing development of the program database</li>
<li>Able to effectively communicate client needs while making internal agency referrals</li>
<li>Able to complete documentation in an accurate, thorough and timely manner</li>
<li>Ensure all tasks related to each case are completed during each shift worked</li>
<li>Recognizes need for consultation with available supervisor and or team lead</li>
<li>Participate in all required trainings</li>
<li>Work with families and involved persons to deescalate current crisis</li>
<li>Abide by all federal, state and local confidentiality and reporting regulations</li>
<li>Comply with all of programs contractual and operational guidelines as outlined by your manager</li>

Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities

<li>The physician serves as medical director for skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and participates in administrative and quality initiatives for the facilities he or she is responsible for;</li>
<li>Medical directorship functions include attending and participating in monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings; participating in quality improvement initiatives; providing guidance to facility staff; reviewing and revising (if necessary) facility's clinical guidelines; insuring compliance with state and federal regulations, training facility staff; and supervising facility clinical staff.</li>
<li>In addition to the medical director role, the physician also serves as the attending physician for the residents residing at each facility;</li>

About What You’ll Work On:
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication, mental health and behavioral challenges.&nbsp;
Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, it is described as a “developmental disorder” because symptoms generally appear in the first 2 years of life. People with ASD may face a wide range of issues, which means that there is no single best treatment for ASD. As a Behavior Technician,

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism.
In this role, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about helping children with autism reach their full potential. You will need to be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team environment. We will provide comprehensive training so that you are equipped and empowered to help each child, even if you don't currently have experience. Children can be unpredictable and potentially confrontational, so this role is not for the weak of spirit, mind, or body. Part of the joy of working with kids is exercise! Our clients move, so you need to be comfortable standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and at times carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds
