a.&nbsp;Accurately completes and enters all resident assessment data into the computer program in a timely fashion in accordance with State and Federal guidelines.
b.&nbsp;Adheres to final lock dates and submission requirements as stipulated by HCFA and State Standards.
c.&nbsp;Maintains current working knowledge of MDS 3.0, RAP’s, and PPS requirements.
d.&nbsp;Works collaboratively with MDS coordinator to ensure computer data entry remains as error free as possible; corrects any data entry errors in a timely manner.
e.&nbsp;Works collaboratively with Administrative Services staff to “hand-off” accurate and timely MDS information for billing accuracy.
f.&nbsp;&nbsp;Maximizes case mix score to achieve highest possible legitimate financial reimbursement for the facility.
g.&nbsp;Assists MDS coordinator with submission of assessments according to Federal and State guidelines and with the Corrections Process as required.
 
4.&nbsp;&nbsp;Initiates and completes comprehensive care plan for all residents:
a.&nbsp;Coordinates and assists in developing a comprehensive plan of care in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary team for each resident within specific guidelines.
b.&nbsp;Coordinates the Patient Care Conference in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary team to outline resident challenges and seek alternatives that foster the resident’s quality of life.
c.&nbsp;Participates in quality improvement activities, site review, and conducts medical record reviews, as necessary.
 
5.&nbsp;&nbsp;Attends and participates in continuing education programs and all mandatory in-services.
6.&nbsp;&nbsp;Conducts self with professional decorum at all times and with all persons in the facility.
7.&nbsp;&nbsp;Must be able to remain calm under stressful situations and tactfully deal with all personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies.
8.&nbsp;&nbsp;Follows established Infection Control and Universal precautions policies and procedures.
9.&nbsp;&nbsp;Knocks before entering the resident’s room.
10.&nbsp;&nbsp;Assures that the resident’s rights are observed as they pertain to the position.
11.&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrates respect for resident’s and families.
12.&nbsp;&nbsp;Maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information.
13.&nbsp;&nbsp;Encourages resident participation in planning and implementing nursing care.
14.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensure that all residents are treated fairly, and with kindness, dignity and respect.
15.&nbsp;&nbsp;Reports all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., to appropriate department immediately.
16.&nbsp;&nbsp;May be asked to perform other duties as deemed necessary by Director of MDS.
17.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to follow Resident's Rights policies at all times.
18.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to observe applicable safety standards including infection control.

Qualifications:
