What You’ll Get to Do in This Role:
<ul>
<li>Support the technical and non-technical aspects of cardiac monitoring for adult patients (18+) on telemetry.</li>
<li>Recognize and interpret heart rhythms, identify changes, and communicate critical findings to the healthcare team.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and operate telemetry and monitoring equipment with a thorough understanding of its functions and capabilities.</li>
<li>Prepare patients for monitoring procedures and ensure proper placement and function of monitoring devices.</li>
<li>Conduct ongoing surveillance, analysis, and synthesis of patients’ cardiac rhythm patterns, including preliminary interpretation of data.</li>
<li>Maintain a working knowledge of various cardiac monitoring and testing systems, ensuring accurate equipment calibration and operation.</li>
<li>Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly and efficiently.</li>
<li>Assess patients for the appropriate type of monitoring or testing and provide patient education regarding procedures.</li>
<li>Accurately record physiological data and rhythm interpretations in electronic health records and other reporting systems.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team, promptly communicating abnormal or critical findings and activating emergency response protocols as necessary.</li>
<li>Successfully complete a basic heart rhythms test with a passing score of 90% within the first 30 days of employment.</li>
</ul>

This position MUST be able to work the following:

<li>Previous experience as a pharmacy technician with maintenance of continuous registration as a pharmacy technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy dating back prior to January 1st, 2013</li>
<li>Completion of a board-approved technician training program</li>
<li>Completion of the Essentia Health employer-based technician training program within first 90 days of employment</li>
</ul>

Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 4160 hours of pharmacy technician experience</li>
<li>Previous experience working with patient medication profiles, claims adjudication and billing, copay assistance programs as well as experience with prior authorizations</li>
</ul>

Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy in the state in which they will be working (MN or ND) preferred</li>
</ul>
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certification/Licensure Required:
<ul>
<li>Registered as a pharmacy technician in Minnesota and Wisconsin (may provide a "pending" registration for Wisconsin)</li>
<li>Possess a current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)</li>
<li>Must maintain registration(s) and certification(s) for the duration of employment</li>
<li>Ongoing continuing education and license renewal as required by the state's Board of Pharmacy</li>
