ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Gather all supplies for the particular operative procedure.</li>
<li>Establish a sterile field using appropriate technique.</li>
<li>Check for the proper functioning of all sterile/non-sterile equipment before the operating procedure begins.</li>
<li>Assist in the operation by handing the surgeon the requested instruments.</li>
<li>Assist in restocking supplies, rotate inventory of supplies and pull supplies for the next day cases.</li>
<li>Maintain basic understanding of ocular anatomy and relationship to the procedure performed in the ASC.</li>
<li>Has a working knowledge of all autoclaves and knows how to determine the appropriate cycles for specific cases.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

General Purpose:

Administrative:
<ul>
<li>Serves as a leader in the oral health department by providing supervision and guidance to oral health providers.</li>
<li>As a member of local health center leadership, collaborates closely with Operations, Medical/Nursing, and Behavioral Health teams daily to evaluate and balance health center clinical and support staff needs and helps to ensure successful day-to-day clinical functions and quality care.</li>
<li>Participates in organizing provider chart review process and drives other initiatives for process and quality improvement/assurance at the health center, amongst staff.</li>
<li>Participates in continuing oral health education seminars, workshops, and research literature review.</li>
<li>Knowledgeable about standards of care, ensure STRIDE’s clinical practice meets those standards and helps maintain clinical guidelines and documents alongside other dental leadership. </li>
<li>Attend appropriate staff meetings, Triad meetings, and all other meetings as assigned. Provides a framework and participates, as necessary, in meetings with direct reports.</li>
<li>Regularly meet with oral health providers at assigned health centers to provide support. Maintains an open-door policy with team members and encourages feedback from staff on any logistical issues or concerns.</li>
<li>Maintains clear lines of communication with local clinic operations, with direct reports, and with medical, nursing, and behavioral health leadership.</li>
<li>Monitors provider productivity and participates in budget planning and review of responsible clinic location(s).</li>
<li>Ensure dental provider team’s productivity and efficiency, as well as to evaluate dental clinical quality, using data to drive decisions and strategies for quality assurance (QA) and quality improvement (QI).</li>
<li>Orientation, education, and training (assisted by Operations and Human Resources (HR) of new dental providers, including electronic dental record (EDR) training.</li>
<li>Management of dental outreach activities and medical and dental integration in coordination with other management team members.</li>
<li>Attends all staff meetings and all other meetings as assigned.</li>
<li>Participates in continuing education courses for most current dental industry information.</li>

Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>Current Colorado dental license.</li>
<li>Experience in management and quality improvement experience is preferred. </li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years of general dentist experience in oral health field.</li>
<li>Must hold an FTE of 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week). </li>
<li>STRIDE tenure of 9 months minimum, unless external candidate with relevant experience. </li>

Office environment within a clinical setting. Enters data into computer programs via use of EMR database system, mouse, and keyboard. Moves about the office environment and occasionally to other locations. Moves/transports objects up to 25 lbs occasionally. Communicates information to others. Discerns/analyzes information from others to assist in decision making.

We offer a competitive salary range of $153,400 - $173,200, depending on your experience.
This range reflects STRIDE’s good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. The final salary for the selected candidate will be determined based on several factors, including experience, education, budget, internal equity, specialty, and training.
