Dental assistant services provided shall include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

<li>Retrieve and examine relevant sections of patients’ records and escort patients to dental treatment room; seat and prepare patient for attending Dental Officer; obtain health history and interview patient regarding any dental issues; take blood pressure and temperature of patient, if indicated.</li>
<li>Assist the Dental Officer in direct patient care: prepare instruments for the indicated procedure(s); preparation and use of dental medicaments and materials; passing of dental instruments to Dental Officer; retraction of tissues; irrigation of oral cavity; operation of dental aspirator; observe patient responses during dental procedure(s); instruct patients on pre- and post-dental treatment; assist in scheduling of dental patients; make necessary entries on dental treatment records (including use of Electronic Medical Record); prepare dental treatment room for the next patient; and assist in the treatment of emergency cases.</li>
<li>Maintain dental equipment: clean, sharpen, and sterilize instruments; perform daily inspection of equipment and make minor repairs.</li>

<li>The Dental Assistant shall possess specialty training from a licensed dentist and/or certification from an accredited Dental Assistant School.</li>
<li>Training must include dental radiology and radiology safety.</li>

<li>Weekend clinic call is 1:8 (1:9 starting September ’23). Weeknight call 1:8 (1:9 starting September ’23)</li>
<li>Multi-specialty group that consists of FP, IM and NP/PA’s - along with integrated Behavioral Health providing 4 Psychotherapists, 1 Behavioral Health NP, 1 Behavioral Health MD (via Telehealth) and an onsite Behavioral Health Adult Partial Hospitalization Program</li>
<li>Over 20 outreach specialists including Ophthalmology, ENT, Audiology OBGYN, General Surgery, Weight Management, Diabetes, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Pulmonology, Pain Management, Orthopedic Med &amp; Surg, Podiatry, Cardiology, Tobacco Cessation, Mediation Therapy Management, Gastroenterology, Vascular Surgery and Urology all on-site as well as others available at the main campus in Duluth</li>
<li>Nurse-on-line triage 24/7</li>
<li>EPIC (electronic medical records) in clinic and hospital</li>
<li>Admit to St. Mary's Hospital-Superior, a 25-bed CAH facility with transitional care services. ER physicians staff the ED, along with a PA who staffs the Fast Track ER. Transfers complex cases to St. Mary's Medical Center, 330 bed facility (7 miles from clinic) with Level 1 Trauma designation</li>
<li>Urgent Care – staffed 7 days a week with NP/PA providers</li>
<li>Physician led, professionally managed organization with great team environment</li>

COMPENSATION
<ul>
<li>&nbsp;$308,000. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.</li>
