Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provider is responsible for rounding and managing the clinical care of the population at the assigned SNF. </li>
<li>The provider is responsible for rounding daily and prescribing medications and treatments for residents residing at SNFs. </li>
<li>Provider will provide high quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services to patients residing in SNFs. </li>
<li>Provider is responsible for timely documentation of all patient care/encounters </li>
<li>The provider will be available for phone/secure messaging consultations with facility nursing staff.</li>
<li>Provider documentation is completed in Theoria's proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system, ChartEasy™. </li>
<li>PointClickCare, MatrixCare, and American HealthTech are the most commonly used facility EHR systems. </li>
<li>Provider is expected to be on-site on and on time for their in-person scheduled shifts. </li>
<li>Timely attendance is imperative.</li>
<li>Reliable transportation required.</li>

Shift Structure
<ul>
<li>Rounding time is 7AM-1PM local time, during which the provider must be available to nursing staff and address acute/emergent issues that arise. </li>
<li>Shifts begin around 7AM local time with flexibility within reason.</li>
<li>Shifts are daily Monday-Friday </li>
<li>Charting/documentation can be completed off-site. </li>
<li>This is an in-person position. </li>

FOCUS:
This role focuses on ultrasound support for VEG hospitals and training facilities. You will work closely with emergency doctors to provide same-day ultrasound scans for pets when they need it most. You will also assist in coordinating education opportunities and overall ultrasound training for your home and regional hospitals. You will inspire and motivate your fellow VEGgies to grow their ultrasound skills.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

<li>Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate ultrasound training at your home hospital and regional hospitals</li>
<li>Maintain good relationships with and accept feedback from teleconsultation radiologists reading your studies (e.g., Antech, SonoPath, IDEXX, VetsChoice, etc.)</li>
<li>Ensure all training content and activities are in alignment with VEG culture, mission, and vision, and represent accurate, up-to-date sonographic techniques</li>
<li>Track doctor and nursing team skills with a VEG Ultrasound Certificate checklist</li>
<li>Engage in self-reflection and program evaluation practices to modify and enhance VEG's ultrasound training programs</li>
<li>Regularly meet with the medical directors, VNDCs, and director of radiology education to discuss program development, training objectives, and additional needs</li>
<li>Regularly meet with hospital manager and medical director to discuss implementation of new training protocols, training schedules, hospital training needs, and interpersonal concerns</li>
<li>Coordinate weekly schedule with hospital manager and medical director to work on-the-floor shifts and dedicate time to training responsibilities</li>
<li>May assist in developing ultrasound curriculum material, as needed, such as PowerPoints, videos, simulations, and assessments to be implemented across the doctor and nursing team training programs</li>
<li>May have the opportunity to provide educational demonstrations for doctors and nurses at other VEGs including ultrasound topics such as abdominal, thoracic, cardiac, cervical, and musculoskeletal studies</li>
