HIRING: DIRECTOR OF QUALITY &amp; COMPLIANCE
Location: Remote / Hybrid
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 
The Director of Quality &amp; Compliance for Southern Peaks provides consultation and technical assistance to specific programs within the Abraxas Youth &amp; Family Services (AYFS) division regarding licensing, contractual, and accreditation compliance, policy development/implementation, data collection/analysis, best practice transfer, and the implementation of an effective process for on-going monitoring and evaluation of programs. This person is also responsible for ensuring licensing, contractual, and accreditation compliance for his/her assigned programs.
Responsibilities, Duties, Standards of Performance
The following responsibilities and competencies describe the core functions of this position.

<li>Ensures licensing, contractual, and accreditation compliance, in conjunction with the quality &amp; compliance specialist, program director, and leadership team.</li>
<li>Works with the quality &amp; compliance specialist and program directors to prepare for licensing inspections, contractual reviews, and accreditation surveys.</li>
<li>Reviews all action plans to address licensing, contractual, and accreditation citations or areas of non-compliance before submission to ensure quality and consistency; monitors the implementation of action plans to ensure compliance.</li>
<li>Conducts an annual internal audit to ensure program practices meet licensing, contractual, and accreditation requirements; lead team member during the departmental audits that occur within the division.</li>
<li>Provides effective supervision to the quality &amp; compliance specialist in his/her assigned programs, providing technical assistance and education on licensing, contractual, and accreditation standards.</li>
<li>Develops monitoring systems with the program's quality &amp; compliance specialist to ensure licensing, contractual, and accreditation compliance and consistent implementation of program and divisional policies, procedures, and protocols.</li>
<li>As needed, prepares meeting agendas, coordinates meetings, maintains meeting minutes, and develops other documentation related to on-going monitoring and evaluation of the program.</li>
<li>Collects and maintains data; prepares reports, data displays, charts, graphs, and other illustrations.</li>
<li>Provides technical assistance and education to the program staff on licensing, contractual, and accreditation standards, including as-needed in-service training regarding the implementation of licensing, contractual, and accreditation standards.</li>
<li>Develops and maintains the AYFS operational policy &amp; procedure manual; ensures that each program maintains a policy and procedure manual. </li>
<li>Participates in various internal and external committees/projects; assuming a lead role on some committees/projects.</li>

This role supports a federal healthcare environment focused on improving how data is integrated, understood, and used to support operational and leadership decision-making. You'll work closely with program stakeholders, domain experts, and technical teams to clarify data needs, validate integrated datasets, and turn information into insights leaders can trust.
This is a business-facing analytics role. The work goes beyond reporting; you'll help define requirements, sense-check data from a real-world perspective, and build dashboards that support decisions in a complex, regulated healthcare setting.

What You'll Do
Stakeholder Engagement &amp; Requirements
<ul>
<li>Partner with program managers, domain experts, and end users to gather and clarify business and functional data requirements.</li>
<li>Document requirements, data definitions, and business rules so technical teams understand what is needed and why.</li>
<li>Translate stakeholder needs into clear deliverables such as requirements documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.</li>
<li>Revisit and refine requirements as priorities or feedback evolve.</li>
</ul>
Process Analysis &amp; Operational Improvement
<ul>
<li>Review existing data workflows and business processes to identify inefficiencies, delays, or manual workarounds.</li>
<li>Help shape improvements that streamline operations and improve data availability and usability.</li>
<li>Ensure analytics and reporting align with how the organization actually operates.</li>
</ul>
Analytics, Reporting &amp; Visualization
<ul>
<li>Analyze integrated datasets to produce insights that support operational and leadership decisions.</li>
<li>Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau or Qlik, with a focus on clarity and usability.</li>
<li>Write and validate SQL queries to support analysis, reporting logic, and data verification.</li>
<li>Ensure metrics are well-defined, accurate, and consistent across reports.</li>
</ul>
Data Validation &amp; Quality (Business Perspective)
<ul>
<li>Work with technical and QA teams to confirm data outputs meet business expectations.</li>
<li>Perform high-level validation to ensure results make sense in context, not just technically.</li>
<li>Help identify gaps, inconsistencies, or definition issues before data is delivered to stakeholders.</li>
</ul>
Documentation &amp; Communication
<ul>
<li>Create and maintain documentation including requirements specifications, data dictionaries, and report user guides.</li>
<li>Communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences, translating data into practical insight.</li>
</ul>
What We're Looking For
Required
<ul>
<li>Experience in data analysis, business analysis, or analytics roles within complex or regulated environments.</li>
<li>Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills.</li>
<li>Solid SQL experience for querying, validating, and analyzing data.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with Tableau or Qlik (or comparable BI tools).</li>
<li>Ability to explain data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li>
</ul>
Preferred
<ul>
<li>Experience working with healthcare or federal data environments.</li>
<li>Familiarity with healthcare data standards or models (e.g., HL7/FHIR, OMOP), even at a conceptual level.</li>
<li>Experience using Excel and/or Python (pandas) for deeper or ad hoc analysis.</li>
<li>Understanding of data privacy and compliance considerations in regulated settings.</li>
</ul>
