Our Gastroenterology section is seeking an Advanced Endoscopist as part of a planned expansion.&nbsp; Expertise in bariatric endoscopy and/or ESD are preferred.&nbsp; Our section serves a 357-bed tertiary referral center with opportunities for outreach into surrounding communities. The facility features an outpatient endoscopy unit and side by side clinic with 8 endoscopy suites.&nbsp; &nbsp;An IM hospitalist service manages all GI admissions and GI functions as a consultative service. Eleven NPs/PAs and six General GI Physicians support outpatient management of IBS, IBD and liver disease and the inpatient GI consultation service.&nbsp; This position can accommodate subspecialty interests and provides a 1: 3 call schedule.
<ul>
<li>Our current group of seven physicians includes 6 general and one advanced endoscopy Gastroenterologist working in a 100% consultative practice.</li>
<li>Currently offered procedures include ERCP, SpyGlass Cholangioscopy, EUS (diagnostic and therapeutic), RFA, cryotherapy, EMR and enteral stenting.</li>
<li>Latest model Olympus endoscopes, EUS processors, and Omega fixed table fluoroscopy unit.</li>
<li>State-of-the-art Digestive Health Center performing a full spectrum of endoscopy procedures</li>
<li>New hospital opened July 2023</li>
<li>All GI hospital admissions are managed by IM hospitalist service</li>

PRACTICE SPECIFICS:
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, caring for patients ranging in age. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

By joining this team, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment. Will work with the Neurologist to see all stroke patients.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Stroke Neurology. &nbsp;This position will be scheduled to support the stroke program in the clinic and may include hospital work, weekends, and call.
&nbsp; EDUCATION:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota. Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota Current certification in CPR. National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

We have a full-range practice including pediatric orthopedics, cardiology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, trauma, pulmonary, urology and gastroenterology. We are looking for a pediatric surgeon with the skill, interest and enthusiasm to assist us in growing and developing our program.&nbsp;&nbsp;
