What you will do:
 
As the Field Service Technician, you will perform and carry out all tasks related to installing, assembling, servicing, and repairing Aerzen products. They provide customers with prompt, professional and high-quality service. Work is performed at our location and/or at our customer’s location. Services provided may be scheduled or on-demand. Overnight travel on short notice is often required.
<ul>
<li>Performs startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or preventive maintenance service on all Aerzen Products at customer sites; Represent Aerzen in professional and courteous manner following all Aerzen and customer safety requirements.</li>
<li>Installing, configuring, calibrating and maintaining control, measurement and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog &amp; digital); Installing and terminating electrical, pneumatic and fluid connections; Understand controls narratives and analyze/troubleshoot process application related issues.</li>
<li>Analyzing and correcting communication issues; Properly address TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications.</li>
<li>Perform repairs and assembly on Aerzen Products; Disassemble; assess damage and evaluate failures on machines; diagnose problems with Aerzen machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions; demonstrates the ability to offer machine-based recommendations; can identify the root cause of a machine failure; Utilize defined procedures and a standard rebuild kit.</li>
<li>Read, understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other process documentation to perform service tasks, assembly and repairs on Aerzen Products.</li>
<li>Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations and service options, listen to customer concerns, and provide status updates during service call and at completion. </li>
<li>Evaluate customer future needs and communicate information through appropriate channels. </li>
<li>Assist engineering in plant design, modifications and hazard analysis.</li>
<li>Plan and schedule travel to best meet customer requirement, service schedule requirement and time efficiency utilizing the Concur booking tool.</li>
<li>Complete job-related service reports, expense reports and forms in a timely basis; Collect data and make commissioning graphs using Company Software.</li>
<li>Complete written repair reports to document cause of failure, description of work performed, materials consumed, condition of equipment as received and as returned to the customer.</li>
<li>Conduct customer training on Aerzen Products when onsite.</li>
<li>Perform all work in accordance with quality standards, established safety procedures and maintains a clean, safe work area.</li>
<li>Participate in departmental initiatives such as, but not limited to, inventory counts, shop organization, clean-up and other duties assigned by the manager.</li>

Requirements:
Education: An Associates Degree (2 years schooling) in electronics technology or equivalent experience.
Experience: 1-4 years of Field Service Experience with rotary equipment such as compressors, Pumps or similar. Must have electrical experience, preferably working with VFDs and controls.

Technology Aptitude/Skills: Windows, Microsoft Office, Sales Force Internet Abilities; TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications: Allen Bradley PLC experience is preferred. Will learn and utilize other software systems in the role.
Other Skills: RS Logix 5000 experience is preferred; PLC or similar Ladder-Logic programming experience is desired; Ability to Interpret process flow, control wiring, as well as piping and instrumentation diagrams; Welding (brazing, cutting, welding, plasma) a plus.

This role supports areas of field Service operation within Sungrow USA related to commissioning, warranty, and Operations and Maintenance (O&amp;M) of the expanding installed sites in the region. Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Perform a variety of technical assignments involving the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of string and central solar inverter and/or BESS Systems, PCS, batteries, and ancillary equipment.</li>
<li>Perform general troubleshooting and diagnosis under Sungrow’s maintenance and repair guidelines. </li>
<li>As needed, support and perform pre-commissioning (with and without grid emulator) and commissioning of solar inverters and BESS systems within schedule and work plans </li>

Qualifications of a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer:
<ul>
<li>A Professional Engineering license in OH (other Midwest states a plus)</li>
<li>A bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering</li>
<li>Proficiency in one or more of the following: MicroStation (including OpenRoads), AutoCAD (including Civil 3D)</li>
