We are seeking a Scale Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and reliable operation of various types of scales used in industrial and commercial settings. Your responsibilities will include installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of scales to guarantee precise measurements, compliance with industry standards, and customer satisfaction.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Scale Installation- Properly install and set up various types of scales, including industrial, laboratory, and commercial scales, according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.</li>

<li>Safety Compliance- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment. Prioritize safety when working with heavy equipment and electrical components.</li>
<li>Quality Assurance- Ensure that serviced scales meet all quality and regulatory standards. Verify that scales are suitable for their intended applications.</li>
<li>Inventory Management- Keep track of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for scale service and maintenance. Replenish supplies as necessary.</li>
<li>Training- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in scale technology and industry best practices. Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.</li>

Skills and Knowledge:

<li>Proven experience in scale installation, calibration, and repair.</li>
<li>Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.</li>
<li>Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to scales (e.g., ISO 9001, NIST Handbook 44).</li>

This position schedules and performs field service work as well as manages a limited parts inventory in accordance with company policies and procedures. Duties include performing service work, assists with new product installations; along with timely and accurate documentation of work performed.
 
Responsibilities:
Field Service (primary)
<ul>
<li>Accepts and completes dispatches in 48 hours or rejects dispatch so it can be reassigned</li>
<li>Complete work thoroughly to achieve 95% or higher FTFR (First time fix rate)</li>
<li>Follow field testing procedures accurately</li>
<li>Document all inspections, maintenance, repair work and failures in the field in through dispatch in Online Remedy (OLR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software</li>

What Youll Do
As a Support Commissioning Specialist, youll work alongside Lead Engineers to execute testing, validate systems, and assemble documentation for critical environments. Youll play a key role in project commissioning (Cx) activities from planning and testing to documentation and issue resolution.
 
Your Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Coordinate with the Owners Commissioning Agent, clients, contractors, and startup teams to ensure all commissioning activities meet project and safety requirements.</li>
<li>Participate in or lead commissioning coordination meetings and maintain regular communication via email, text, and phone.</li>
<li>Conduct site reviews to verify that installed equipment and control systems align with design documents and specifications.</li>
<li>Support and witness system startups, validate sensor calibration using approved devices, and assist in troubleshooting when systems deviate from expected performance.</li>
<li>Document and track commissioning issues in the clients Cx Issues Log; follow up to ensure resolution.</li>
<li>Perform functional testing and daily post-test walkthroughs to confirm systems are left in approved operating modes.</li>
<li>Submit accurate and timely documentation, including daily reports, updated test scripts, Load Bank Plans, and other commissioning deliverables per client schedules.</li>
<li>Assist with compiling test data and assembling final commissioning reports.</li>
<li>Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and supporting internal training or certification efforts.</li>

What Youll Bring:
<ul>
<li>Expertise in commissioning and troubleshooting electrical systems within mission-critical facilities, particularly data centers or similar environments.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, backup power infrastructure, and electrical control systems.</li>
<li>Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues.</li>
<li>Confidence interpreting electrical drawings and schematics (AutoCAD proficiency is a plus, but not required).</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to present technical information to clients and stakeholders.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with commissioning reports, documentation, and issue-tracking systems.</li>
<li>Willingness to work on-site at client facilities (typically between 6 AM 4 PM) with flexibility for variable schedules as project demands dictate.</li>
</ul>
 
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>2+ years of experience commissioning or engineering mission-critical electrical systems.</li>
<li>LEED AP, CxA, BCxP or comparable commissioning certification is advantageous.</li>
<li>Experience working on data center projects is highly preferred.</li>

Travel Note:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>3 - 5 years experience with Installation and Service of:
<ul>
<li>ATM Lobby Card Access Control Systems</li>
<li>Door Lock/Exit Hardware </li>
<li>Analog and IP CCTV Surveillance Systems</li>
<li>Cable Pulls to Local and National Electrical Codes</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>3 - 5 years experience with:
<ul>
<li>Operation of power tools (Drills, Sawzall, Jig and Chop Saws, Grinders, etc.) and equipment in a safe, responsible and confident manner.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>3 - 5 years experience with Cable Terminations:</li>
<li>Data Cat5 Ethernet, Telco RJ11, Punch Down 66/110 Blocks, Coax and B-Nut.</li>
<li>Driver's license in good standing (2 points or less on record).</li>
<li>Credit Report in good standing (All credit showing a current status and no judgments, liens or credit in collection.).</li>
<li>Good verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends or holidays (on a scheduled or on-call basis).</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Email.</li>
<li>Locksmith experience a plus.</li>

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
