What You Will Be Doing:
As an Electrical Power Generation Field Service Technician, you will be the field service support of our Caterpillar Commercial Product line. Duties will include the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of engine and electrical related systems, Industrial and EPG start-up of generators, transfer switches, UPS, and switchgear systems.
Primary Responsibilities:

<li>Provide customer support for on-site facilities through technical evaluations of specific application, troubleshooting, and problem solving.</li>
<li>Repair and maintain reciprocal engine based power generation/Industrial Systems throughout the territory.</li>
<li>Provide guidance, assistance, and training to service technicians and customers as requested.</li>
<li>Explain and defend warranty decisions; generate and communicate service bulletins to both customers and office personnel.</li>
<li>Communicate cost, service and reliability issues from Field to office personnel with intent of convincing appropriate departments for cost reduction and design improvements.</li>
<li>Write full reports on findings from field service events, with clear, concise information.</li>
<li>Communicate daily clear comprehensive field reports regarding assigned units.</li>
<li>Represent the Power Systems group in the field.</li>
<li>Maintain service manuals.</li>
<li>Perform all work in accordance with established time, quality standards and safety procedures.</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain a CDL license if required</li>

Field Engineer:
Primary Responsibility: Estimate quantity take offs for drilling and blasting bids. Production estimates of these quantities are done by others. Field surveys with GPS equipment to establish top of rock elevations. Field coordination with blasters for scope of work evaluation of bid versus actual work. Project engineering necessary to manage percent complete of invoices as well as costs. 
Essential Duties: • Will participate in the MDB safety culture by following all company safety policies and practices. • Utilize Carlson Takeoff Software to perform quantity take offs for drilling and blasting bids. • Communication with MDB trusted customers to check quantity take offs and mutually agree to the scope of work on bidding projects. • Perform field surveys with total station or GPS survey equipment to create a top of rock surface by locating ledge that has been stripped of overburden or by locating probe holes with depth to ledge determined. • Maintain clear, accurate and timely job files of all projects that are bid or ongoing. • Perform regular job site surveys to determine percent complete for quantities and costs on projects. • Maintain professional representation to develop and foster customer relationships. • Be able to work with blasters, superintendents, and division managers, including listening to questions, researching answers and providing the support for them to improve performance of their job position. • Provide leadership in job start up planning to review the scope of work with the blaster in charge. Project start up items: Budget, blast plan, schedule, schedule of values, grab and go, submittals, material purchases, subcontract technical terms negotiations. • Provide training, guidance, direction and leadership to others to ensure work is performed to MDB standards and customer expectations. • Participate in monthly job status meetings to assist Divisional Managers to determine if jobs are invoiced accurately or if they are under or overbilled and provide reasons why. • Monitor scopes of work, recognizing scope changes, and create change order documents. • Work with the administrative team and Division Manager to determine monthly quantities for invoicing purposes. • Assist Division Manager with owner correspondence. • All other duties as assigned.

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a Chief Engineer. The Chief Engineer is responsible for the management, supervision, and professional development of all building engineering personnel.
 Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

<li>Daily Checks with Building Engineers and Technicians</li>
<li>Weekly Reports</li>
<li>Time Sheet Review</li>
<li>Time Exception Review</li>
<li>Overtime</li>
<li>PTO</li>
<li>Screen, hire, supervise, and coordinate training activities for engineering staff.</li>
<li>Provide technical support, job delegation, and project management to engineering team.</li>
<li> Assist with reducing operating expenses while maintaining and enhancing the quality of the services provided.</li>
<li>Assist in generating and executing budgets</li>
<li>Assist with generating scope for /RFA/RFP.</li>
<li>Assist in project management.</li>
<li>Outline a seamless customer impact.</li>
<li> Ensure safety guidelines are followed.</li>
<li> Provide on time updates to Client.</li>
<li> Assist with construction projects</li>
<li> Review construction drawings to ensure standards are followed.</li>
<li>Collaborate with GC's on impacts to existing customers, FLS impairments, warranty work, etc.</li>
<li>Oversee commissioning of new equipment.</li>
<li>Vendor contract review and management.</li>
<li>Monitor and control energy efficiency.</li>
<li>Assist with generating SOP's</li>
<li>Ensure OSHA compliance.</li>
<li>Ensure team development goals are outlined and met.</li>
<li> Performs other duties as assigned or requested.</li>
</ul>
Required Experience &amp; Skills
<ul>
<li>The Chief Engineer shall possess at least five years (within the past seven years) experience in the management and supervision of building mechanical operations and maintenance for high rise buildings. </li>
<li>They shall also be required to have a Arizona Refrigeration and / or Air Conditioning Operators License and a Universal Refrigerant Certification</li>
</ul>
