Dartmouth Libraries is hiring for a full-time, evening Information Access Assistant position. Come join the Access Services team in providing essential customer service at the Baker-Berry Library circulation desk. The position is a full-time position (37.5 hours/week) scheduled to work Sunday-Thursday from 4:15pm - 12:15am. The position will be responsible for closing the Baker-Berry Library; responding to a variety of in-person, telephone, and email information requests; and working on a variety of departmental projects such as pulling books for hold requests.

Schedule Sunday – Thursday; 4:15pm – 12:15am
Position Purpose provide all aspects of direct patron service at the Baker-Berry public service desks and provide support for other areas of Access and Delivery Services and the library.
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience

● Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
● Demonstrated ability to organize work efficiently; set and modify work priorities; while under pressure and despite interruptions.
● Ability to work collegially in a team environment.
● Customer service experience with a diverse clientele.
Preferred Qualifications
● Two to three years relevant library experience.

Monitors building security and contacts Safety and Security should problems arise.
