Mobile Fleet Technician Opportunity Summary:
\n
The Mobile Fleet Technician is responsible for performing on-site preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks at customer locations. This role demands technical proficiency, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to work independently in various environments and weather conditions. The technician will ensure compliance with DOT standards and internal repair quality expectations.

Job Duties:
\n
<ul>
<li>Perform quality repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks per manufacturer specifications.</li>
<li>Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify damaged, worn, or broken parts.</li>
<li>Create and execute job repair plans based on diagnostics, including estimating labor hours and required parts.</li>
<li>Diagnose and repair electrical systems, A/C systems, emissions controls, and other diesel engine components.</li>
<li>Complete PM services, DOT inspections, and documentation accurately and thoroughly.</li>
<li>Use diagnostic software and follow electronic repair procedures.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and safe work area, both on customer sites and in the company vehicle</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records for invoicing and warranty claims.</li>
<li>Utilize company tools appropriately and maintain a personal tool inventory per company policy.</li>
<li> Support and train junior technicians as needed.</li>
<li> Adhere to all safety, EPA, and company policies.</li>

Work Experience and Qualifications:
\n
Experience: 3+ years of diesel repair experience; 5–7 years preferred in fleet, dealership, or mobile technician environments.
\n
Education: Certificate from a technical school or equivalent hands-on experience. 
\n
Skills:
\n
<ul>
<li>Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across multiple systems (brake, emissions, electrical, HVAC).</li>
<li>Familiarity with repair planning and parts reuse.</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and diagnostic software.</li>
<li>Clear written and verbal communication.</li>
<li>Ability to work in physically demanding environments.</li>
</ul>

Work Experience and Qualifications: 
\n
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, outdoor conditions, high temperatures, cold, humidity, and airborne particles. Regularly requires standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work is performed primarily on second shift and may require nights/weekends.

Role and Team
This role reports to the Body Shop or designated Manager and performs preparation work to damaged vehicles prior to the painting process and supports the body shop team in accomplishing daily production goals. 
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Prepare vehicle for paint process by taping, masking, cleaning and remove parts in an efficient and accurate manner to meet customer expectations</li>
<li>Maintain a constant and smooth flow of prepped vehicles for the paint process</li>
<li>Assist with overall general shop duties such as cleaning, driving, organizing vehicle parking and staging</li>
<li>Communicate in a professional manner with team members and customers. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance</li>
<li>Resolve any internal and external customer inquiries in a friendly, courteous and professional manner; advise management of all complaints or incidents</li>
<li>Maintain productivity levels as set forth by management.</li>
<li>Maintain equipment and tools properly and advise manager of any needed equipment maintenance or breakdown</li>
<li>Follow and maintain all safety standards</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
