What You’ll Do:&nbsp;

<li>Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.&nbsp;</li>
<li>&nbsp;Including but not limited to: &nbsp;</li>

Overview:
Must be knowledgeable in computer skills and capable of learning to operate Autonomous equipment from a remote computer system with up to 8 sprayers.&nbsp; To continually analyze ongoing operations through computer readouts and make decisions to optimize operations. Department Overview
The Breeding Team is responsible for the development of technology platforms and products designed to support the future growth, competitiveness, and long-term sustainability of the company. As part of its platform development efforts, Breeding conducts a wide range of research activities, namely in the areas of trait discovery and validation, molecular detection, biochemical assays, plant growth, and molecular breeding, to name a few. These activities are aimed at developing new capabilities in crop research, the outcome of which is then leveraged to create new product development opportunities and shorten the time to market. Position Summary
The primary responsibility of Breeder I is to manage a commercial variety development program focused on improved nutritional profile of the grain. The Breeder must have an affinity for the application of technology in soybean breeding and a strong innovation mindset.  Rapid establishment of expertise on the identification, expression and phenotyping of target traits in soy germplasm and across growing environments is expected.  As a Breeder I, the candidate will be expected to learn and assist in Product Design pipeline execution focused on the development of new populations using genomic prediction. The successful candidate will possess excellent collaboration skills and ability to lead through influence.  The position will be based in Central-South Illinois.
You Will:

<li>Manage the product development program focused on improved compositional traits for soybean relative maturity groups 3.5 to 5</li>
<li>Work closely with the breeding operations team on the establishment and execution of nursery and yield trial plans.</li>
<li>Actively lead phenotyping coordination with the Champaign, IL operations team.</li>
<li>Execute data analysis and results interpretation within the relative maturity zone, and nominate candidates for commercial variety development program</li>

As a Climbing Arborist, you would be responsible for: 
<ul>
<li>Operating heavy equipment, hand, and power equipment, such as bucket trucks, brush trucks, claw trucks, chippers, pole saws, pruning saws, pole pruners, power pole saws, and chainsaws.</li>
<li>Repairing, sharpening, and maintaining equipment and tools </li>
<li>Performing basic felling and rigging, along with aerial rigging over obstacles</li>
<li>Leading a 2-person&nbsp;pruning crew while completing pruning &amp; removal projects </li>
<li>Ensuring all appropriate tools, supplies, and materials are loaded on truck, well maintained and accounted for, along with ensuring equipment is inspected and prepared with fuel and fluids</li>
<li>Performing job briefing and assisting Crew Leader in work zone set-up and utilizing safety PPE</li>
<li>Completing tree risk assessment and job site assessment, along with communicating with homeowners about services Arbor Masters offers, and performing pre- and post-job walk-throughs</li>
<li>Communicating verbally and visually with all members of the crew </li>
<li>Assisting in debris cleanup at job completion</li>

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you would be responsible for:
<ul>
<li>Motivating and guiding team in a positive manner and ensuring daily production goals are met</li>
<li>Operating equipment including but not limited to hand saws, pole pruners, pole saws, pruning saws, chain saws, stump grinders, bucket trucks, claw trucks, chippers and aerial lifts</li>
<li>Maintaining and repairing small tools and equipment such as blowers, chainsaws and chippers</li>
<li>Ensuring all appropriate tools, supplies, and materials are loaded on truck, well maintained and accounted for, along with ensuring equipment is inspected, cleaned and prepared with fuel and fluids</li>
<li>Reviewing work to be performed with customers, completing paperwork, conducting post-job customer walkthroughs, and collecting payments upon completion of work</li>
<li>Conducting job briefings and assigning tasks to crew members, along with work zone set-up</li>
<li>Communicating and reinforcing industry safety standards and company policies while utilizing safety PPE</li>
<li>Supervising tree crew while performing tree pruning and removals and assisting in debris cleanup</li>
<li>Performing supplemental support (cabling and bracing) techniques</li>
<li>Completing OSHA and AMTL accident reports and incident reports when necessary</li>

Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Must be a team player with a positive attitude, able to advise, train and motivate team members</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver’s license and possess a class C driver’s license</li>
<li>CDL class A or class B License with airbrake endorsement is preferred, but not required</li>
<li>Must be at least 18 years old</li>
<li>Minimum of 3-5&nbsp;years climbing experience and/or 5&nbsp;years documented foreman experience</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of proper tree pruning and removal techniques, along with skilled cabling and bracing techniques, and knowledge of various knots used in roping and technical rigging</li>
<li>Experience with technical rigging for use in trimming and large removals</li>
<li>Ability to complete labor-intensive outdoor work with exposure to a variety of weather conditions</li>
<li>Ability to navigate uneven terrain, stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and lift in excess of 50lbs on a regular basis, along with the ability to work effectively at heights above 10 feet</li>

Job Description
OMS Field Services is looking for a Registered Professional Forester(s) to work in our clients Vegetation Management program. This position is responsible for coordinating with property owners and vegetation management contractors regarding vegetation management work to be performed and when necessary, obtaining permits from public agencies; pre-inspecting in advance for vegetation management work; post-auditing vegetation management work; and documenting information for client’s vegetation management program. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS and our client. North Valley Region and other Select Regions in Northern California Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>As requested by the Client Representative, the RPF shall perform all necessary duties for emergency response in accordance with all safety requirements, laws, and regulations, and applicable labor agreements.</li>
<li>RPF shall supply client with a copy of all permits obtained by RPF. In addition, RPF will have responsibilities in judging tree value, volume, and risk involved with hazard tree removal projects that contain commercially valuable sawlogs.</li>
<li>RPF is to provide professional and technical advice on the management of client’s timberlands to assure lands are producing at their optimum potential.</li>
<li>Internal</li>
<li>Patrol specified electric line sections and identify vegetation hazards.</li>
<li>Inspect individual jobs in the field to determine the number and types of units of work to be performed by the vegetation management contractor per span, as well as the rough estimate of time to complete the work.</li>
<li>Secure the permission of each property owner before the vegetation management contractor commences tree removal work on any property for which PG&amp;E does not already have removal rights. If the removal rights are not known or are unclear, then the RPF shall obtain Permission prior to the removal of any tree.</li>
<li>Promptly inform Client’s Representative in writing of each instance in which RPF is unable to obtain Permission or permits.</li>
<li>Supervise individual tree replacement and high production seedling planting activities, ensuring proper tree is chosen for site and planting techniques are in compliance with ISA standards.</li>
<li>Audit on-going and completed vegetation management jobs in the field to ensure compliance with the job requirements and approved tree removal and pruning standards.</li>
<li>Maintain direct contact with local client operating personnel as directed by the client representative.</li>
<li>Maintain working relationship with all public agencies, including California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS), California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CALFIRE), United States Forest Service (USFS), and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) representatives in his/her assigned area.</li>
<li>Timely resolve customer complaints.</li>
<li> As deemed necessary by client’s representative, the RPF may be required to perform emergency or storm related tree work at any time. If required to perform such emergency or storm related work, RPF shall ensure that all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform such work shall be available within twenty-four (24) hours of client’s notification to RPF that such work is required. RPF shall ensure, at all times, that its employees have suitable protective clothing for work in inclement weather.</li>
<li>Assist client foresters in planning and organizing timber harvests in accordance with all State, county and local laws governing actions.</li>
<li>As assigned by client representative, complete Timber Harvest Plan, Emergency THP, Exemption, or Conversion form for submission to California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, including all required permits.</li>
<li>At the request of client’s representative, conduct CALFIRE and associated agency pre-inspections as necessary to obtain approved THP.</li>
<li>Mark timber as agreed to by Client Representative.</li>
<li>Inspect and guide other FTs to ensure tree marking is within specification of agreed silvicultural prescription in THP. (Marking guidelines in USFS Manual.)</li>
<li>Monitor and audit timber logging contractor to ensure compliance with timber sale logging contract and agency regulations. Audit results shall be submitted as weekly or daily reports to the client representative using the Timber Sale Inspection Agreement and/or Notice.</li>
<li>Conduct timber inventory as prescribed by PG&amp;E Representative. Sampling methods will vary as conditions merit. Sampling methods are described in USFS Chapter 30.</li>
<li>Perform timber appraisal of specified properties under the direction of client forester.</li>
<li>Acknowledge and participate in the OMS H&amp;S programs.</li>
<li>Duties will include completing assigned H&amp;S training</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.</li>
</ul>
 Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Registered by the State of California as a professional forester in good standing.</li>
<li>Two (2) years’ experience in hazard tree removal projects along utility rights of way.</li>
<li>Familiar with vegetation management contractors’ work practices, proper arboricultural techniques and practices, Client’s Specification or other requirements as directed by client, and government agency requirements related to line clearances and fire prevention.</li>
<li>At the discretion of the Client Representative, a portion of these qualifications may be waived for an otherwise exceptionally qualified individual.</li>
<li>Required to maintain a Class C driver’s license, including participating in Employer Pull Notice Program (EPN), with DMV.</li>
<li>Must have clean driving record.</li>
<li>Conduct a background check, clear drug screening, and physical exam.</li>
<li>Approval by Client Representative.</li>
</ul>
 Working Conditions: Environmental Factors: Indoor and outdoor conditions; exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on/walk on slippery or uneven and potentially mountainous terrain.
