An Amazingly Simple Way to Help You Write More Polite Emails
Emails or text messages are the primary communication tools in today’s business setting. Being rude in your emails doesn’t usually get you very far. In fact, it can worsen your relationship with your email recipients. It’s especially hard to sense the tone with text, fortunately, there’s a tool called FoxType that will analyze your text and rate your tone from impolite to polite. It even offers rewrite suggestions so you can avoid unnecessary rudeness.
The tool is very simple to use, head over to FoxType, paste your email text in the box, and then click Check Tone. Here’s an example:
There are a lot of things can affect the tone of an email and how it sounds to the readers. Be careful with negative words like not, can’t, won’t. Don’t use too many questions because they can be sensitive.
