<h3>Job Description</h3>
POSITION SUMMARY
Tutors for Academic Student Unions are responsible for providing hands-on support and assistance including, but not limited to, homework help, tutoring support, and enrichment opportunities. This is a part-time, temporary position located at Stratford High School or Maplewood High School or Hunters Lane High School. This position reports to Director of High School Initiatives. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
<ul>
<li> Provides hands-on academic assistance to students daily.</li>
<li>Provides complementary homework help, foundational support, and test prep daily.</li>
<li>Instructs and implements daily curriculum in specified subjects and ACT prep.</li>
<li>Provides and assists with enrichment opportunities involving the arts, music, technology, health/wellness, social-emotional learning, leadership and service.</li>
<li>Helps each student achieve success by encouraging students to reach individual goals.</li>
<li>Provides trainings and seminars to students, classes, and the community.</li>
<li>Assists with college visits and field trips as needed.</li>
</ul>
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
 Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree, or enrolled in a bachelor’s program.</li>
<li>Experience working with high school students strongly preferred.</li>
</ul>

Virtual Elementary Tutor

Join an energetic group of educators and students to help make a HUGE impact on the academic growth of our K-12 students! There is no homework to grade, no lessons to plan. The curriculum is created for you, instruction is provided face to face with our students through ipads in our Learning Center. We pair our students with teachers experienced in their grade and subject, and allow for flexible schedules! We are open Monday-Thursday 330-730pm, and Saturday mornings. We are hiring at our Maple Valley location. Schedules are flexible based on your availability.
The Sylvan Teacher (Tutor) is responsible for teaching students using Sylvan program materials. Using the program materials, the teacher creates balanced and robust learning experiences for students. The Sylvan Teacher evaluates student progress on each assignment, communicates this progress, and works with center staff to ensure learning is personal for each student.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

<li>Instructs students according to the design of the Sylvan programs</li>
<li>Manages students, tasks and time to create a balanced and robust instructional session</li>
<li>Evaluates and records the progress of each student on their program assignment</li>
