This Dean will provide strategic leadership to achieve the University and SASE’s strategic goals. The SASE Dean reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) and represents SASE in all academic and other pertinent matters. As a member of the VPAA leadership team providing university-wide leadership, the Dean of SASE works effectively within a shared governance model with other University leaders, including the other school Deans, faculty, staff, and members of the President’s cabinet. In addition, the SASE Dean will work closely with external partners to develop focused and long-lasting relationships that support the growth of the School and University goals and objectives.&nbsp; The Dean (SASE) is responsible for the human, fiscal, and strategic resources for the Divisions of Mathematics and Sciences, Education, Humanities, Communication, Media and Arts and the Honors and General Education Programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education is responsible for the following:

<li>Create a great work environment to foster community</li>
<li>Assure cross-enterprise coordination of efforts by modeling collaboration</li>
<li>Provide strategic and tactical oversight of all programs within the School of Arts, Sciences and Education</li>
<li>Lead strategic hiring to foster mission alignment, intellectual contribution to the SASE, and collegial engagement as a community leader</li>
<li>Participate in strategic fundraising efforts and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders</li>
<li>Engage robustly in institutional strategic planning and execution of such plans</li>
<li>Provide ongoing leadership, mentoring and coaching for SASE Division Chairs, Program Directors and Coordinators</li>
<li>Make decisions relative to application of university and program policies</li>
<li>Manage accreditation compliance, reporting and site visits strategically</li>
<li>Ensure professional behaviors and engagement by all SASE employees at all times</li>
<li>Manage annual faculty and staff performance reviews to ensure compliance with academic and code of ethics standards as outlined in the faculty and employee handbooks</li>
<li>Manage faculty performance portfolios as they occur to ensure compliance with academic and code of ethics standards as outlined in the faculty and employee handbooks</li>
<li>Coordinate efforts to engage faculty and staff to participate in admission events, opening day events, matriculation, commencement, enrichment week and other key university events designed to foster community and celebrate our students</li>
<li>Engage the local, regional and national community to advance the SASE through strategic partnerships, collaborations and projects</li>
<li>Execute fiscal decisions with institutional and SASE needs in mind</li>
<li>Prepare annual budget requests for the SASE and work collaboratively with the VPAA to craft final budget requests for the CFO</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with the VPAA and other Deans as needed to advance the mission of the university and manage challenges as they occur</li>
<li>Increase focus on and success with research</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
The Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education must understand and support the Mission, Vision and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University, as a Catholic higher education university as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae, and possess the following:

<li>Terminal degree from an accredited institution in a represented discipline of SASE</li>
<li>Ten years of administrative experience in higher education at the level of a chair or above in a supervisory capacity. Must qualify for appointment at the rank of professor</li>
<li>Ongoing commitment to supporting excellence in teaching</li>
<li>Demonstrated effective leadership, collaboration, and communication skills</li>
<li>Proven ability to marshal internal and external resources and organize faculty and external constituencies for implementation of University’s mission and strategic plans</li>
<li>Accomplishments that demonstrate knowledge of current and emerging trends in higher education and humanities and sciences that support excellence for faculty, academic programs, and student success</li>

The Position: The Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (Provost &amp; VPAA/SA) provides vital, creative, and adaptable leadership to the academic enterprise at Southern Oregon University (SOU). The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA has a significant duty in representing SOU to the Southern Oregon University Board of Trustees, engaging with the Oregon Provosts Council, and participating in the Oregon Council of Presidents. This person is responsible for articulating a vision and direction for Academic and Student Affairs and effectively communicating that vision to the campus community. The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA oversees all of the academic schools at SOU and the services that support them, as well as the university’s portfolio of student support and success services. This leader is responsible for guiding academic and enrollment planning and shaping the student body through an institutional strategy for recruitment, admission, retention, advising and educational partnerships. Effective performance requires an in-depth understanding of the university’s mission and its various programs, and a commitment to work effectively within a shared decision-making environment (i.e., Faculty Senate, Staff Assembly, and the faculty union). Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Lead Academic Affairs, establish and communicate a strong academic vision while promoting a culture of shared governance (40%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA is the Chief Academic Officer of SOU and provides leadership and robust support for the faculty, academic schools, and the library at SOU. Duties include, but are not limited to: support and promote teaching, scholarship, and community engagement activities; administer contracts; supervise and evaluate the academic directors and faculty personnel roster; launch faculty development programs; assess recruitment and hiring priorities; oversee the promotion and tenure process, faculty appointments, merit salary increases, and sabbatical leaves; respond to faculty grievances; support program review and assessment of the learning enterprise; guide various programs including instructional services, off-campus and continuing education programs, summer session, inter-institutional programs, various galleries and collections, and all that is necessary to support coursework, research, and intellectual exploration associated with the university’s intellectual life; give direction to research, grants and sponsored programs, and other creative endeavors; maintain effective channels of communication with the President, faculty, and Faculty Senate; serve as strategist in the faculty collective bargaining enterprise; and create a culture of collective ownership and accountability while collaborating on decision-making processes quickly and effectively.</li>
<li>Lead Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (25%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA is the Chief Enrollment Officer responsible for the executive leadership, strategic planning, and administrative oversight for all operations and support functions associated with the recruitment, retention, and engagement of students. Duties include, but are not limited to: foster creative thinking that builds on SOU’s strong tradition as a student-centered institution; guide strategic efforts to address issues related to student development, health and wellness, success, equity, and retention; address issues related to the review, implementation, improvement, and enhancement of policies, procedures, and program-specific services; and oversee Enrollment Services, Student Success, and Admissions and Recruitment to ensure efficiency in operations that drive enrollment growth that aligns with institutional goals.</li>
<li>External Outreach (10%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA partners with the president to implement SOU’s mission, vision, core values, and strategic directions in a manner that realizes growth that enhances student learning opportunities and positively impacts financial and economic development. This position develops and cultivates public-private partnerships with local, regional, and statewide business and industry.</li>
<li>Accreditation (10%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA administers activities related to the accreditation and the external review of SOU and its schools, departments, and programs. This position ensures compliance with various academic disciplines and their respective accreditation agencies.</li>
<li>Budget &amp; Resources (10%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA designs effective budget models for Academic and Student Affairs. This position analyzes financial information to include revenues and expenditures to ensure all operations are within budget; develops long-range planning and budget priorities; and provides supervision, evaluation and professional development for administrative and support staff.</li>
<li>Other Duties as Assigned (5%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA performs other duties as assigned by the president, including but not limited to: participating or leading ad hoc and standing working and advisory committees; serving on search committees; and representing SOU at functions, panels, and events.</li>

Qualifications: Minimum:

<li>Ph.D. or other terminal degree with a record of teaching and scholarship suitable for a tenured faculty appointment.</li>

Associate Professor of Law (9-Mo-TT)

Description The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking one (1) full-time pathologist for appointment to join our Hematopathology Division on the School of Medicine’s clinician-teacher pathway. The qualified candidate will become the Division Head of Hematopathology, CAP/CLIA director of the Hematopathology Laboratory and Quality Director of the Clinical Trials/Developmental Hematopathology subdivision. Clinical responsibilities will include reporting of morphology for lymph nodes, tissues, bloods and marrows, as well as flow cytometry (diagnostic and minimal residual disease testing) and may include molecular diagnostic testing, hemoglobin electrophoresis and coagulation reporting, depending on the interests of the candidate. Educational activities include teaching hematology / hematopathology to students, technologists, residents and fellows. &nbsp;Applicants are expected to be involved in administrative aspects of the lab, including new test development, and develop an area of focused research / scholarly work.
This appointment may be at the rank of Associate or full Professor, without tenure due to reasons of funding. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank.
The base salary range for this position will be: Associate Professors: $21,903 to $30,049 per month ($262,831 to $360,592 annually); Professors: $26,023 to $39,377 per month ($312,274 to $472,526 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.&nbsp;
Other compensation associated with this position may include an administrative salary supplement for administrative service as division head.&nbsp;
Associate and Full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position remains open until filled with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2024, but is flexible.

Position Description
The Department of Sociology at the University of Washington invites applications for an Associate or early-stage Full Professor with tenure, specializing in any area of sociology. About the Positions
To meet areas of university strategic growth in global graduate education and impact, New hires will join an excellent, experienced and dynamic faculty and staff highly committed to exceptional education and student experience, the School for Professional Studies at Saint Louis University is seeking multiple, full-time faculty in the areas of information systems, cybersecurity, analytics, research methods and related disciplines.
All are open-rank, non-tenure track full-time faculty positions, with a nine-month contract running from August to May (renewed annually, with multi-year contracts possible after the first year). Candidates will teach up to seven graduate-level courses during the daytime with the bulk of the teaching occurring on campus. However, there is the possibility to teach select online sections if need dictates. There are also potential summer, flexible, online teaching opportunities.
As these are primarily teaching roles, research is supported but not required. However, active researchers and those with grants may be eligible for a reduction in teaching load. For interested faculty, potential or partial reduction in teaching load to maintain industry/professional practice in related area of expertise is an option. Additional expectations include limited service to support the program and School for Professional Studies as assigned by the appropriate Program Director in consultation with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
Faculty will join a community where teaching excellence is present and well-supported. Warren Wilson College is one of <a href="https://www.workcolleges.org/" target="_blank">nine work colleges in the country</a>, where all residential students are required to work on campus, and in exchange they receive money towards their tuition. Warren Wilson receives an annual grant of $2 million from the U.S. Department of Education that helps support the meaningful work experiences in which students engage.
In addition to the 1,100-acre campus classroom, laboratory, and library of natural resources which include managed forests, and native wilderness, students learn on a working farm, running a mixed crop and livestock operation with a commitment to sustainable practices which in turn provides public educational opportunities for the wider community.
Every student at Warren Wilson is also required to do community engagement, where they volunteer in the community. Leadership &amp; Governance Dr. Damián J. Fernández is the 10th president of Warren Wilson College, assuming leadership on June 1, 2023.
A Cuban immigrant and first-generation college student who grew up in Puerto Rico, Fernández comes to Warren Wilson with more than 30 years of experience in teaching and leadership positions at both private and public institutions.

Fernández’s aspirations for Warren Wilson College include advancing innovative programs that deepen project- and problem-based learning, growing and diversifying enrollment, addressing facilities and other institutional needs, and rethinking the traditional business model of liberal arts colleges.
“Warren Wilson’s foundational commitment to access and its pedagogy of mind, heart, and hand—learning, service, and work—are as compelling now as in 1894,” Fernández said. “Together we will push the boundaries of experiential learning for the 21st century. Fernández received his bachelor’s from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, master’s in Latin American Studies from the University of Florida, and Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Miami.

Qualifications
Knowledge: Master’s degree in higher education, educational administration, organizational development, leadership or a related area.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Experience: Three to five years in higher education with progressive levels of responsibility. Candidates should have experience in fostering students’ professional and personal development, working with diverse student populations, advising students, and student advocacy.&nbsp; The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate success in establishing partnerships with academic departments and external partners as well as planning and evaluating career support programs.
Skills/Aptitude: The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, and entrepreneurial. The director must have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a necessity. The director will take initiative in planning and problem solving and must have proficiency with data collection and analysis.&nbsp; Ability to manage multiple priorities, including budgets and scheduling, is a requirement. The director should also exhibit a strong service orientation and an understanding of and commitment to liberal arts education rooted in the Catholic tradition of the charism of the School Sisters of Notre Dame.&nbsp;
