About the Position
Reporting to the Senior Director of Advancement, the Director of Annual Giving (the "Director") is responsible for the design, strategy, and implementation of The Taft School annual fund program. The Director will join a highly collaborative team, working with key staff, campus-wide partners, and volunteers to implement a strategic annual fund program to maximize Taft community philanthropy.
This position will supervise the Assistant Director of the Annual Fund, the Leadership Annual Gift Officer, the Annual Giving Coordinator, and will have the ability to hire one additional member of the team. The Director will have the opportunity to assess and set forth a plan of action for a group of 500+ Class Agents and will also work with a robust and exceptional Parents Committee.
Taft is seeking a Director who will think strategically and bring an analytic approach to the annual fund, with an ability to better integrate the fund into the overarching development program. The ideal candidate will have a respect and appreciation for independent school values, bring strength in leadership to guide the annual fund team and program, and have strong experience and interest in working with volunteers. This position will require 4 days per week in the office at Taft, with 1 day of remote flexibility possible.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategically develop, manage and implement the Taft School annual fund program
• Collaborate with the development team to plan and execute annual fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, email, and social media efforts 
• Lead and manage the annual fund team, including 3 current direct reports, with the opportunity to hire 1 additional staff member
• Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, including alumni, parents, and community members
• Create and manage metrics to measure the effectiveness of annual strategies, working with the team to build and analyze donor lists and reports
• Determine annual giving goals and donor targets, informed by data and strategic planning
•Develop annual giving communications strategy in partnership with the communications team
• Partner with Director of Donor Engagement and Stewardship regarding annual recognition efforts
• Contribute to the planning of relevant events, including donor receptions, alumni reunions, and volunteer appreciation events
• Develop and execute an effective and sustainable volunteer plan within annual giving, to engage Class Agents, the Parents Committee, and other volunteers.

Compensation:

Position Summary Description The Alumni Engagement and Giving Officer reports to the SeniorDirector of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving. Program Development &amp; Management Provide program development and management/oversight of a diverse group of programs and teams. Program oversight includes the details of the programs, including contracts and deliverables, and the goals, values, and objectives of the programs, to ensure high-quality service delivery.

<li>Work with the Behavioral Health Operations Team to research and applies for grants and other funding/revenue sources to finance services provided in programs.</li>

Quality Assurance and Program Development Supports supervisors and ensures that data drives decision making, alongside adherence to department mission and values, trauma-informed and person-centered care, and evidence-based practices.

<li>Use data, client, and community input to inform decision-making and design actionable solutions to challenges, optimizing the services and supports provided by the division.</li>
<li>Work with Behavioral Health Operations Team and Quality Assurance Coordinator to assess program-level performance and quality gaps; initiate continuous quality improvement projects; make data-driven program development recommendations to the executive leadership team.</li>

Requirements for the Position
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
<li>Possession of a master's degreein a social science field, and five (5) years of responsible, professional experience in the mental health system, including three (3) years in a supervisory capacity; OR</li>
<li>Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position. </li>
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

This work is done at two different locations each day (at the Salem Hospital Emergency Dept. and at PCC), so driving is required.
Assessment of Mental Status: Perform independent assessment of mental status, diagnosis, level of functioning, dangerousness, and specific needs for service. Screen individual for psychiatric hospitalization.
Planning Development: Develop plan with client/family to address immediate needs and plans to obtain services. If client is unwilling to seek services, make decisions regarding involuntary commitment based on dangerousness and ability to care for self.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED Works under the general supervision of a health program manager or program supervisor who assigns and oversees work, establishes goals and reviews results obtained for overall effectiveness and for meeting department and county objectives.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED Exercises full supervision for clinical supervisory, professional, technical and support staff. May also supervise interns and volunteers.
Typical Duties - Duties include, but are not limited to the following

<li>Provides clinical consultation to staff through case staffing and observation of clinical work. Provides feedback to staff for professional development. Provides personnel and performance management, including staff recruitment and hiring; new employee orientation; and ongoing training. Provides performance evaluations and initiates progressive discipline.</li>
<li>Responsible for direct services including: monitoring customer service delivery and work processes; ensures compliance with payer requirements; monitors staff workload and productivity; develops/implements policies and procedures; addresses quality improvement needs; conducts staff time studies and sets work parameters. Provides input on program development. May provide direct services, on call by telephone, and backup support.</li>
<li>Provides administrative support to service area; monitors and approves leave time; initiates personnel actions, purchasing; addresses risk management/employee safety; implements county and department policy. Ensures that any communication from their service area, representing the Health Department, is of a professional nature.</li>
<li>Participates fully as a member of the Marion County Health and Human Services leadership team and the Adult Behavioral Health Supervisor team as a supportive, reliable, positive, collaborative, and professional team member. Provides for team development: how team members work together, conflict resolution; and delegation of hand-offs. Resolves personnel conflicts in an effective and helpful manner. Effectively manages change by acting s as a "lead change agent" with teams. Maintains a positive attitude with leadership that conveys a clear direction of services, involving staff input and inspiring confidence and trust.</li>
<li>Assists in communication and coordinating services with other agencies; acts as Health Department representative on interagency committees; provides liaison with state agencies; develops partnerships; coordinates services across agencies and markets services.</li>
<li>Tracks client service data, including fidelity measures, utilization, client satisfaction, and outcomes. Identifies service gaps. Documents servcies to meet OARs, CCO, and Health Department requirements. Assists in monitoring contract/grants performance to assure compliance with requirements including developing service report and proposals.</li>

Response Level 1: In the event of an emergency, employee makes a reasonable effort to report to work. Employee may be required to perform duties outside of their regularly assigned duties. Requirements for the Position
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
<li>Bachelor's degree in a specific, professional health field related to the position and five years of responsible, professional experience in the field related to the position; OR</li>
<li>Master's degree in a specific, professional health field related to the position and three years of responsible, professional experience in the field related to the position; AND</li>
<li>Two years of supervisory experience; OR</li>
<li>Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County.</li>
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

General Position Summary
Under the direction of the City Clerk, the Records Coordinator oversees the development, implementation, and administration of the records and information management program (electronic and hard copy). The position ensures compliance, confidentiality, and maintenance of records retention, storage, tracking, imaging, and destruction following established policies and procedures and federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Records Coordinator may help carry out duties assigned to the City Clerk as outlined in the Burien Municipal Code, such as meeting management and support for the city council and advisory bodies, posting public notices, and responding to public records requests. 
Essential Functions

<li>Intake records and assist departments in identifying Records Series and appropriate retention according to the State Retention Schedule for Local Governments.</li>
<li>Maintain electronic information management systems to comply with State law and to ensure long-term accessibility or appropriate destruction of electronic information; oversee citywide standards for electronic information such as standard document formats, metadata, and file naming conventions; propose policy changes as needed to reflect changes in technology.</li>
<li>Coordinate on-site and off-site centralized records storage, coordinate accession, and retrieve records from storage.</li>
<li>Assist with preparing written procedures for city-wide records management.</li>
<li>Recommends and implements improvements to the city's records storage and management.</li>
