• Assess orders to the correct needs for Prior Authorization, exam performance, and billing. 
• Troubleshoot issues pertaining to patient accounts, orders, exams, prior imaging, and all other related occurrences. 
• Perform EKG tests, DEXA scans and CT scans independently and proficiently. (On the job training provided.) 
• Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with facility-wide and departmental policies and procedures. 
• Exhibit flexibility in response to changing work situations (schedule changes, leaving early, staying late, or taking late breaks when workload calls for it). 
• Rotate through the call schedule according to the weekly needs of the department (the amount of call will depend on the number of employees within the department).

About the Job
The job entails supervising the delivery of radiological services according to established standards and procedures within a designated service area or unit. Responsibilities also include contributing to the development of training programs for radiographic personnel, ancillary staff, and allied healthcare professionals, as well as demonstrating new techniques, procedures, and equipment. The role involves performing special procedures such as diagnostic and interventional radiography (e.g., C.T., M.R.I., and Mammography) and may require temporarily assuming the duties and responsibilities of an immediate Supervisor when they are absent. Qualifications include a minimum of 1 year of experience as a General Radiographer, proficiency in areas such as art, x-ray, portables, and OR c-arms, and an Associate degree (Community College, MBO). The RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST performs diagnostic radiographic services by taking radiographs, images made by passing x-rays through an area of the body. Services may include positioning, photographing, and developing film. The Radiologic Technologist works under the direction of the radiologist or physician.

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE
At least two years radiology technologist experience in the clinical setting.
CREDENTIALS:
CPR as required by client facility; health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies.
