JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the Department of Public Works (DPW) Heavy Equipment and Transportation (HEaT) team, the HEaT Truck Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently driving flatbed trucks and towing vehicles between the Black Rock Station (BRS) staging facilities and the Burning Man event site, using Black Rock City (BRC) Fleet and rental equipment. They will haul travel trailers to and from the Burning Man event site, service on-site distribution needs, coordinate the pick-up, delivery, and drop-off of materials and equipment, and provide additional towing services as needed. Commercial License Not Required.
  This temporary, ineligible for benefits role is:

DUTIES &amp; ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Daily Operations (95%)
<ul>
<li>Efficiently and safely transport materials and supplies between Black Rock Station (BRS) and the event site as directed.</li>
<li>Haul travel trailers to and from the event site, pick-up, tow, and distribute materials on-site, and fulfill any additional requests as approved by direct management.</li>
<li>Be willing, prepared and capable of handling any complex loads.</li>
<li>Under the direction of the HEaT Transportation Lead and the HEaT Transportation Manager, liaise with different departments to fulfill hauling and towing requests.</li>
<li>Ensure loads are safe for transit; effectively load and unload trucks and trailers with attention to safety protocols and standards and communicate to management with any concerns prior to task advancement.</li>
<li>Maintain awareness of environment hazards; keep abreast of the current conditions of designated routes, the people and structures surrounding them; be ready to communicate unexpected developments promptly and adjust accordingly.</li>
<li>Maintain clear communication and coordinate with the HEaT Transportation Lead, the HEat Transportation Manager, and all Truck Drivers to ensure the safety and efficiency of deliveries.</li>
<li>Promptly answer all calls from the HEaT Dispatcher regarding any necessary hauling or towing requests while keeping the DPW Transportation Manager updated and informed of current whereabouts.</li>
<li>Make requests of, and follow directions provided by, the HEaT Dispatcher relating to heavy equipment tasked for the loading and unloading of hauled materials.</li>
<li>Take ownership of and assume accountability for, the accurate tracking and recording of materials transported, including the logging of pick-up and drop-off locations and times.</li>
<li>Maintain vehicle records, performing daily pre and post usage safety checks, identifying required safety equipment on board and that the truck is properly prepared for work; immediately report any issues or required usage needs to the HEaT Transportation Manager.</li>
<li>Be available to work on-call during designated “on call” hours as well as regular shifts.</li>
</ul>
Other Functions and Responsibilities (5%)
<ul>
<li>Attend daily HEaT briefings, DPW Morning Meetings, and any required BRC Staff Meetings</li>
<li>Read, understand and act in accordance with Burning Man’s staff policies, protocols and behavioral standards.</li>
<li>Participate in maintaining a clean and safe worksite.</li>
<li>Monitor personal well-being, be aware of work expectations, and proactively address any concerns with management.</li>
<li>Work with the HEaT Team to plan and execute LNT and Waste disposal plans.</li>
<li>Prepare written feedback to the DPW HEaT Department Manager describing the successes of the season and areas in need of improvement with the purpose of improved overall efficiency and suggestions for the next year.</li>
<li>Perform various other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>

QUALIFICATIONS
 Required

<li>Experienced in flatbed driving, hauling, and towing with the ability to drive with and maneuver trailers into tight spaces</li>
<li>Able to safely load, transport, and unload large and complex materials and equipment; Capable of lifting heavy loads, climbing in and onto vehicles and structures, and throwing tie-down straps.</li>
<li>Capable of safely navigating and driving on BRC streets and access roads that are congested with participants, bicycles, and vehicles; Understanding of Burning Man transportation procedures and prepared to respond quickly and calmly to any emergency.</li>
<li>Ability to maintain organization of duties and adhere to tight scheduling, completing tasks in a timely, safe manner; Able to remain calm under stress while maintaining ability to think critically, problem solve and respond effectively to unforeseen events.</li>
<li>Capable of working in an extreme environment including crowds, drastic temperature changes, high winds, poor air quality and low to no visibility at times.</li>
<li>Able to work as part of a team and receive constructive feedback; Is reliable, honest and operates with a high level of behavioral integrity.</li>
<li>Maintain a respectful demeanor and tactful communication with all participants, Burning Man Departments and staff; Has experience and is comfortable with two-way radio communication with the ability to sustain professionalism in any situation.</li>

<li>Ability to temporarily relocate for work at the Burning Man event held in Gerlach, Nevada.</li>

The Organization: The Florence Project was founded in 1989 to respond to a representation crisis for indigent non-citizens detained at the rural Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Detention Center in Florence, Arizona. Through our programs today, we provide services to thousands of adults, youth, and children detained in Eloy, Florence, Phoenix, and Tucson, Arizona on any given day. In 2001, the Florence Project implemented our Integrated Social Services Program, one of the first of its kind in this field. The Florence Project provides high quality legal and social services and supports initiatives for national changes in immigration law and policy.

Primary Purpose of the Job:
The Managing Attorney will manage our talented team providing legal services to unaccompanied minors. Services include providing unaccompanied children “Know Your Rights” presentations at shelters, individual intakes, pre-court counseling sessions, and representation in front of the immigration court, family court, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.   The position includes extensive client contact with youth, including indigenous youth and youth who have suffered abuse, abandonment, neglect or other emotional and physical trauma. It requires significant time in state court and in immigration court.  The position also provides the opportunity to participate in outreach activities and collaborative projects within a national network of legal service providers for unaccompanied immigrant children.  
The Children’s Program handles a variety of forms of relief from deportation. The Managing Attorney will mentor and supervise legal staff and provide legal representation to detained and non-detained immigrant children. The Managing Attorney will also collaborate on training and professional development initiatives for legal staff, and participate with program development and outreach activities, in conjunction with the Children’s Program Manager, Legal Director, Deputy Director and Executive Director. This position reports to the Children’s Program Manager. 
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:

Supervisory Leadership Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Supervise the team’s Staff Attorneys, Senior Attorneys, and Managing Legal Assistants. This includes overseeing and being responsible for the quality of services provided before the courts, conducting case reviews with supervised staff as needed, and providing training, mentorship, and support to the legal staff.  The Managing Attorney will work closely with the Program Manager in updating the Program Manager on supervision and oversight.  </li>
<li>This position may require supervision in both Phoenix and Tucson, and will be expected to travel when necessary. </li>
<li>Provide direct representation to clients with the opportunity to hand-select a case load with a focus on cases posing challenging issues or appeals of particular importance. <li>Oversee attorney meetings, weekly joint case review, and intake review meetings with legal staff, and plan legal trainings as needed. </li>
<li>Well-versed, and remain current in immigration law, and on implications of criminal and civil law as it applies to the representation of immigrants and refugees.  Establish and implement policies and procedures.  </li>
<li>Ensure all staff complies with required ethical standards, preserve client confidentiality, and avoid conflicts of interest. </li>
<li>As needed, provide “Know Your Rights” presentations, intakes, and follow up support to unaccompanied minors.  </li>

Advocacy
<ul>
<li>Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with local and national community partners, including but not limited to private immigration attorneys, public officials, law enforcement officials, and other nonprofits that provide services to the immigrant population. </li>
<li>Develop and maintain professional relationships with the Immigration Court (EOIR) and the U.S. Citizenship &amp; Immigration Services (USCIS), government and social service organizations, and community organizations.  </li>
<li>Attend occasional meetings with EOIR, ICE officials, and/or CCA officials to discuss ongoing issues.  </li>
<li>Communicate with the Managing Attorney and Advocacy program about possible advocacy initiatives and legal trainings for the community. </li>
</ul>

<li>Support Florence Project outreach and development activities as needed.  </li>
</ul>

SUMMARY: 
The Commercial Superintendent will have between 5-20 years of experience building ground-up/new commercial projects with experience in site work to core/shell through build-out and c/o. 
The Superintendent help Plan, develop and manage project schedules, maintain budgets, and site safety activities in partnership with project manager &amp; executive team.
The ideal candidate will also coordinate subcontractors and vendors, subcontractor agreements, supervise construction projects from design through project completion. The majority of projects will revolve around restaurant, retail, commercial office &amp; hospitality type structures with ground-up and build-out / TI construction approach. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Construction Management (or similar) Bachelors degree preferred. Must be proficient at computer skills and the use of scheduling software.

The Project Director will provide leadership to the Operations teams to ensure projects are carried out safely while maintaining project quality, schedule, costs and customer satisfaction.
What you’ll do….

<li>As a corporate representative, the Project Director has ultimate responsibility for communication, delivery of schedule, budget, scope and quality commitments</li>
<li>The Project Director acts as the Client “account executive” for multiple projects and will review all restoration estimates on jobs they are assigned to, as well as produce reconstruction estimates for their assigned projects</li>
<li>Manages the Operations and project team which includes, but is not limited to; first responders, superintendents, vendors, suppliers, AOE/EOR’s, and clients</li>
<li>The Project Director will produce a rough order of magnitude estimate for restoration and reconstruction projects, and then monitor all expenses to ensure the budget and actual costs align with the company’s expectations regarding project profitability and customer satisfaction</li>
<li>The Project Director will produce a reconstruction SOW and estimate based on the work completed on a restoration project</li>
<li>The Project Director will request and review vendor proposals to cross reference with their estimate for purposes of buyout and achieving the target profit margin for a given project. Target Margins will be identified by project type</li>
<li>On projects greater than $250k, the PD will assist in Assigning Project Managers and/or Superintendents in concert with management to ensure staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project</li>
<li>Tracks project costs to maintain budget and profitability; responsible for delivery/enhancement of margin</li>
<li>Reviews contracts and manages the financial aspects of contracts; ensures job margin analysis is completed on a regular basis</li>

What you’ll need…

<li>Completion of post-secondary education in Engineering (civil or a related field), or a professional credential in Construction Management would be preferred. Equivalent education and/or field experience will be considered.</li>
<li>Minimum of 10 years’ experience required in Restoration and Construction project management; experience working with large general contractors or within the heavy civil/earthworks industry is preferred.</li>
<li>Must show progression to Senior Project Manager or leadership role in past positions</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and mentor a team in both restoration and construction.</li>
<li>Knowledge and use of T&amp;M, Xactimate, negotiations with insurance providers (adjusters, consultants, etc)</li>
<li>Knowledge of scheduling processes and software’s</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to write reports, business correspondence and RFI's and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public</li>
<li>Excellent understanding and ability to interpret plans/read blueprints, apply building codes, technical procedures, governmental regulations, construction processes, and other design requirements</li>
<li>Strong ability to manage restoration and construction projects and to resolve problems and issues</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of commercial construction processes, construction laws and practices</li>
<li>Excellent negotiation skills and at least three years’ experience in negotiating contract</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project software and general computer literacy. Experience with estimating software is also preferred</li>
