The States United Democracy Center is a new and growing nonpartisan organization advancing free, fair, and secure elections. We focus on connecting pro-democracy state and local officials, law enforcement leaders, and other partners across the U.S. with the tools and expertise they need to safeguard our democracy. During the 2020 election, then as the Voter Protection Program, we quickly became a go-to resource for state leaders, the press, and partner organizations. Job Overview: 
The Senior Communication Manager is a core member of the organization’s Communications team, focused on supporting and driving proactive communication strategy and media outreach, relationship building, and helping to shape narratives about free, fair, and secure elections in key regions of the country.  They will serve as the primary communication strategist for multiple projects, working with cross-departmental teams to provide communication guidance and support to the organization and to key partners related to elections, voting, and democracy. 
This role reports to the Deputy Director of Communications and works closely with the full communication team as well as other departments. 

Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Work closely with senior members of the communications team to develop and execute communications strategies around key priorities, research, and States United projects.  </li>
<li>Serve as the primary communications lead for a set of key states and issue areas, monitoring developments and engaging the broader team as needed.  </li>
<li>Work with cross-departmental state and issue area teams to develop and implement proactive and rapid response communications strategies for States United and our clients around elections, voting and democracy topics in assigned states. </li>
<li>Act as a main point of contact and funnel for media requests and pitches for assigned regions and priorities, evaluating opportunities, developing response plans, and mitigating potential risks.   </li>
<li>Monitor national and state developments. Help lead media work, identifying hooks for States United issues and target reporters for relationship building and pitching those opportunities.  </li>
<li>Cultivate and maintain relationships with top national and state reporters, producers, correspondents, and editors as well as communications professionals at partner organizations as needed. </li>
<li>Draft talking points, press releases, statements, media advisories, newsletters, op-eds, and backgrounders on a variety of issues related to States United’s mission.  </li>
<li>Serve as a rapid response lead for States United and assist in managing media situations impacting the organization, clients, and key stakeholders.  </li>
<li>Coordinate outreach to States United stakeholders and allies for media around States United programs, priorities, and key moments.  </li>
<li>Support organizational spokespeople for media opportunities and events, including coordinating interviews, prepping staff and messaging, drafting op-eds, and staffing interviews and press calls.  </li>
<li>Manage and/or support communications consultant relationships including coordinating meetings, guiding strategy and tactics, and monitoring execution.  </li>
</ul>

<li>Collaborate closely with the other members of the communication team to help States United maintain a cohesive and integrated communication strategy.  </li>
<li>Manage some press-related administrative work including tracking and reporting on media coverage and impact, tracking media relationships and press lists, and managing press events and activities in assigned states and issue-areas.</li>

Minimum Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in communications, news media, and/or advocacy; including at least two (2) years of experience working in a communication role in an agency, government office, or on political campaigns. </li>
<li>Experience and comfort managing and implementing rapid response communication strategy. </li>
<li>Experience with client and/or principal management.  </li>
<li>Demonstrated track record working with reporters, crafting communications plans, and shaping the narrative or breaking through in challenging communications environments at the local and national level.  </li>
<li>Attention to detail and accuracy—especially across the drafting process with multiple editors or stakeholders in a remote environment.  </li>
<li>Ability to write clearly and concisely about complex topics.  </li>

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Works collaboratively with the research team to plan implementation of a new protocol (completes study training, attends study initiation and monitors visits, contributes to design of study flow and standard operating procedures, plans study flow, participates in protocol training, etc.).
• Ensures adherence to federal and regulatory requirements in providing direct patient nursing care within the context of supporting clinical trial implementation.
• Conducts study screening, enrollment, and follow up visits including assessments, completion of eCRFs, specimen collection, etc., including, but not limited to: medical history, physical exam, review of systems, concomitant medications, perform ECG, perform study drug infusions, collect specimens, order protocol required labs, etc.
• Assesses signs and symptoms of potential Adverse Events (AEs) or Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) as defined in the protocol, with appropriate grading and attribution to likelihood of relation to study medication, in compliance with relevant oversight body; ensure reportable AEs/SAEs are reported as required within specified timeframe.
• Communicates proactively with study participants to provide education, respond to questions, and conduct protocol required activities.
• Completes source documentation, eCRFs, and all study-related documentation in compliance with good clinical practice.

The selected candidate will be an employee of Public Health Solutions, a nonprofit organization which is the fiscal and administrative manager of the grant but will work be supervised by DOHMH. This is a grant-funded position ending in November 2027.

The Office of the Chief Program Officer (CPO) oversees the programmatic divisions of the agency including Disease Control, Environmental Health, Family and Child Health, and Mental Hygiene and leads a central policy team. The office serves as a nexus for new program and policy development and coordination as well as program review.
Job Description:
DOHMH has an opening for an Executive Director of Strategic Policy and Programs Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the executive director will be a senior leader driving policy and program coordination for agency priorities and establishing process discipline for policy development and program implementation. The CPO office leads and coordinates cross-cutting agency priorities and ensures that programs and policies are grounded in data, centers equity, and leverages partnerships to maximize reach and impact.
Duties:

<li>Define, lead, and implement an overall agency policy agenda aligning with DOHMH strategic priority areas</li>

The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania (ACLU-PA) seeks a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented full-time Litigation Assistant to support the legal department’s important and non-partisan voting-rights litigation in this battleground election state. The work will primarily involve assisting attorneys with investigating and tracking voting rights violations, supporting the organization’s election-protection efforts, and performing administrative tasks related to litigation.  The Voting-Rights Litigation Assistant works closely with the Legal Director and other lawyers in the organization’s voting-rights-litigation team. The Opportunity: As Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to federal and state campaign finance regulations. Coached and mentored by a team of experienced operations professionals, you’ll support the preparation of campaign finance reports, track financial transactions, facilitate legal reviews, and develop and implement compliance task management workflows. The Compliance Manager collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders, provides compliance training and support to team members, and contributes to strategic decision-making. This opportunity offers significant exposure to operational and political experts; strong leadership skills and experience with campaign finance regulations are essential for success in this role. This position requires some flexible hours and eagerness to assist with any task.  
Job Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with the Compliance Director and greater Operations team to ensure compliance with federal and state campaign finance laws, ensuring all payables, receivables, advertisements, and scripts are properly tracked and follow internal compliance controls.</li>
<li>Support the preparation and submission of accurate and timely campaign finance reports to the Federal Election Commission and Wisconsin Ethics Commission. </li>
<li>Work with DPW legal counsel to facilitate the legal approval process, coordinating with partners to expedite the review process when necessary.</li>
<li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance processes and procedures, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing solutions to streamline operations, proactively addressing compliance-related challenges, and working collaboratively to develop effective solutions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Compliance Director on budgetary oversight, contributing to the development and monitoring of DPW's budget, and providing insights and recommendations to inform decision-making processes.</li>
<li>Provide training and develop resources for internal and external partners on campaign finance laws, compliance procedures, and accounting best practices, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization by promoting awareness and education.</li>
<li>On year requirements include working outside of normal work hours; including canvassing and other election-preparation as necessary.</li>

<li>Detail Oriented - Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all compliance-related activities.</li>

Qualifications (Preferred): 
<ul>
<li>2-3 years of experience working with State and Federal Campaign Finance Regulation and reporting.</li>
</ul>
