Pharmacy Technician - San Juan, PR
Compensation: $15 - $18 per hour DOE
Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Pharmacy Technician with strong experience in prescription billing and experience working in a pharmacy for at least two years. The right candidate will be an on-site pharmacy technician.
Client-highlighted qualifications - The candidate should have experience working in a pharmacy and strong expertise in prescription typing and claims billing and fully bilingual in English and Spanish. 
Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Enter and maintain prescription data using our computer system</li>
<li>Prescription Billing and reconciliation</li>
<li>Answer incoming phone calls and field patient questions</li>
<li>Contact insurance companies for claims resolution</li>
<li>May need to contact doctor’s offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information.</li>
<li>Answer clients questions and address customer service issues when they arise</li>
<li>Learn our computerized software in order to train staff at our partner locations </li>
<li>Perform the usual tasks of a Pharmacy Technician from a call center without directly handling medications.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Associate degree in Pharmaceutical Technology (bachelor’s degree preferred)</li>
<li>2+ years of experience working in a pharmacy</li>
<li>At least a year of experience in prescription billing</li>
<li>Willing to be trained and train new staff on our pharmacy software.</li>
<li>Exemplary verbal communication and customer service skills</li>
<li>Must possess valid state certification</li>
<li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Must be fully bilingual (English and Spanish)</li>
<li>Able to work in San Juan, PR</li>

The Pharmacy Technician performs technical support functions in the department under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Job Code: 100089 Qualifications License or Certification: - Certification and Registration as a Pharmacy Technician as required by the state. Total Education, Vocational Training and Experience: - Minimum 1 year experience in a pharmacy preferred. - General medical terminology is preferred. Machines, Equipment Used: - General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer.
