Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a PRN Echo Technologist to join our Imaging Team in the Charlotte &amp; Sarasota counties, FL area. We are looking for a new team member who is -positive, energetic, able to multi-task, and loves patient interaction. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient experience! 
Our Echo Technologist must be able to handle a high volume, fast-paced environment with a pleasant disposition. They are responsible for performing routine and complex echocardiography and vascular duplex ultrasound examinations and performs and provides a preliminary interpretation of studies performed. Examinations performed may include, but are not limited to, trans-thoracic, stress and contrast echocardiograms (utilizing commercially prepared contrast agents), peripheral venous and arterial exams, extracranial cerebrovascular exams, visceral vascular and/or renal vascular exams.

Required Knowledge and Experience 
Graduate of an approved program of echocardiography and vascular technology/sonography, non-invasive cardiovascular technology or equivalent education and training. Must have experience as required for registry in echocardiography and vascular technology/sonography by either the American registry of Diagnostic Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
RDCS with RVT preferred. CCI also acceptable. BLS, CPR

Required Skills and Abilities 
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems; Athena knowledge preferred but not required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Requirements:\n\n
<ul>
<li>Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology program.</li>
<li>Requires national certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent if applicable and license by the state regulatory agency if applicable</li>
<li>Advance certification by accrediting body in specialty, RVT/RCS/RDCS or equivalent for Cardiac/Vascular, required within 18 months of hire if applicable.</li>
<li>BLS certification required.</li>
<li>This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1-2 years of experience.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems.</li>
<li>Completed AHA ACLS Provider Course within 12 months of employment, required.</li>
<li>CCRN preferred Skilled Nursing experience preferred psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient clinic.</li>
<li>A RN with a diploma or associates degree with 2 years experience in an active treatment unit in a psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient clinic. On an individual basis, other combinations of education and experience may be considered.</li>
<li>Proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technologist. \tAND</li>
<li>Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.</li>

Responsibilities

<li>Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations utilizing special equipment and devices.</li>
<li>Explains testing procedures to patient, obtains and records medical history relevant to the condition being viewed, selects appropriate equipment settings, and positions the patient in a manner to facilitate optimum diagnostic results.</li>
