POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Technical Coordinator, the Tech - Medical (ASCP/REG) assumes the responsibility for performing waived and non-waived complexity analysis of patient specimens for diagnostic purposes, and related procedures in the areas of assigned responsibility under the philosophy, policies and procedures established by the hospital and the Department of Laboratory Services. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:

<li>Performs any and/or all maintenance on instruments according to the manufacturers schedule and instructions and/or according to laboratory policy.</li>
<li>Ensure the security of the departmental information at the end of each workday to protect confidential information.</li>
<li>Demonstrates a willingness to learn new procedures or process by meeting goals from previous evaluation.</li>
<li>Can demonstrate multitasking by planning, processing and/or prioritizing workload with accuracy with limited overtime.</li>

Must be willing to receive all required vaccinations (i.e., flu shot, etc.). All new employees working must be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment (unless the new hire has requested and received an exemption).
