Job Summary: Assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive, integrated development plan to include local, state, federal, foundation, corporate, and individual support. Responsibilities:

•Responsible for donor compliance (quality narrative and financial reporting, procurement requirements, etc.) for all open grants.
•Manage all reporting deadlines, develop calendars for report development and coordinate report compilation and review.
•Manage and regularly update grants tracking to inform staff leadership team and CEO.
•Coordinate with donors on grants management, project progress, monitoring, and evaluation.
•Manage archiving of all grant files and institutional memory of grants and programs.

Founded in 1991, FCF provides business and financial assistance to business owners and leaders in the field of Early Care and Education (ECE). To achieve our goals, FCF works on three levels: Individual Business Level, Community Level and Systems Level. Job Summary:
FCF is seeking a Grant Writer to join its new and growing advancement team. Under the supervision and guidance of the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO), the Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, developing, and writing inquiries, letters, and proposals requesting funds to support First Children's Finance's programs and services. The Grant Writer will also be responsible for tracking and monitoring proposals, their deadlines, and requirements. This position includes maintaining accurate records of documents, phone calls, and visits of funders and prospects.

Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research to identify funding opportunities. </li>
<li>Meet with CAO and related program staff to determine funding needs.</li>
<li>Grant Proposal Development: Develop compelling and competitive grant proposals for federal agencies, foundations, and other funding sources, with a primary focus on funding CDFI and community-led child care investment.</li>
<li>Write accurate and interesting inquiries, letters, and proposals, requesting funds from individual, corporate, and foundation prospects. </li>
<li>Act as the project manager and coordinate all grant submissions; frequently working and communicating with all members of the leadership team as well as other FCF staff, as needed.</li>
<li>Ensure understanding of the program and keep in contact with the organization to check the progress and provide progress reports to the CAO.</li>
<li>Write acknowledgement letters and reports to corporate and foundation donors.</li>
<li>Assemble and submit grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations.</li>
<li>Maintain tracking system for grant, renewal, and report deadlines – updating related program staff, as needed.</li>
<li>Monitor results of written requests, such as proposal acceptance rate.</li>
<li>Coordinate the efforts of key staff members to ensure that documents are completed by the specified deadlines; in addition to all feedback on drafts are received.</li>
<li>Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of grant acquisition strategies and roadmaps for the organization's growth.</li>
<li>Maintain grant/proposal calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines, and reports.</li>
<li>Assist with writing public relations materials including annual reports, newsletters, press releases, and other publications, as needed.</li>
<li>Assist with other fundraising and engagement activities, such as presentations, meetings with funders, etc.</li>
<li>Develops evaluation metrics, monitors performance, and prepares reports for internal/external agencies.</li>
<li>Maintain productivity of proposal submissions.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree required – English; Public Relations; Advertising; Applied Communication; Community Organization; Marketing/Marketing Management, or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.</li>
<li>At least 5 years professional grant/proposal writing experience.</li>
<li>Successful track record of grant solicitations at local, state, federal, and foundation level to achieve results.</li>
<li>Experience working in nonprofit management related work is preferred and/or child care and early learning related work is preferred.</li>
<li>Candidates will have superior writing and editing skills and a keen interest in telling stories in the service of fundraising.</li>

Position Summary:

The Grant Writer has the primary responsibility of raising funds for Franklin Cummings Tech priorities from corporations and foundations. They lead this effort by directly engaging with and communicating with grant writing consultants, supporting fundraising activities while working in close alignment with the Chief Campaign Officer. In 2021, the college restructured the fundraising team in order fully support the President and Board in reaching the college’s $60M ($47M
has been committed to date) goal for its current comprehensive campaign – Future Forward. The Grant Writer is part of a small fundraising team consisting of a Chief Campaign Officer, Director of Development Operations, Senior Individual Giving Officer and Events and Communications Coordinator. The position reports directly to the CCO.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
· Researches, identifies, and cultivates foundation/corporate/federal/state prospects
for projects aligned with College’s strategic priorities and fundraising campaign;
collaborates with senior leadership, faculty, and other key staff/consultants to
identify, articulate, and devise related grant proposals and budgets.
· Works with CCO to schedule meetings (virtual and in-person)
between corporate and foundation leaders, senior leadership at the College;
President’s Office to establish and solidify effective working relationships with foundation program officers, government agencies and corporate philanthropy contacts.
· Works closely with the CFO and CCO to ensure adherence to College policies in
grant seeking and manages approval processes for all institutional grant proposal
submissions; prepares and submits institutional grant proposals and concept papers
to secure funding commitment ranging from four to seven figures; serves on
program teams for major grant proposal planning, as appropriate; and ensures timely
stewardship for corporate and foundation donors, including for endowed funds
established by institutional donors.
· Provides recommendations, reports, and data to CCO to help ensure accuracy and
revenue goal setting in foundation and corporate support budget planning. Track
revenue progress on a quarterly basis. Maintain annual grant calendar.
· Develop and submit federal grant proposals in collaboration with other revenue
generating programs and departments for institutional purposes, as appropriate.
Facilitate communication and planning with program leaders and President’s Office to best develop proposals and assure proactive communication and systems in place upon funding to best steward the grant funding.
· Work alongside staff/faculty to oversee proposal development, editing individual
proposals; and making language and content readily available to the college for use
with other fundraising initiatives.
· Works with Director of Development Operations to ensure the accurate maintenance of grant records in DonorPerfect.

Qualifications:

· At least 4 years of corporate, government and foundation relations/grant writing
experience required, preferably in a higher education setting.
· Demonstrated success in securing grants and gifts up to seven figures.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Computer literacy/research skills, working knowledge of Donor Perfect or similar CRM.

Position Summary
Room to Grow is seeking a Grant Writer to join the External Engagement department, which leads the organization’s fundraising, marketing and communications, and inventory procurement. As we expand our reach in the coming years, securing funding from private and corporate foundations becomes increasingly vital. The Grant Writer will play a crucial role in crafting compelling grant proposals to support our work, identifying funding opportunities, and cultivating relationships with foundation partners. 

The Grant Writer will report directly to the Institutional Giving Manager and will collaborate closely with all members of the team including our program staff and leadership team.
