Integrative Emergency Services, LLC (“IES”) is looking for a Grant Project Director who will oversee implementation of grant(s) awarded to our clinical partners. In general, this position will be responsible for all activities related to the grant including hiring, training, and directing project team members; facilitating and monitoring project progress; ensuring submission of project deliverables; and preparing project reports for the funding agency or other stakeholders. Position Summary
Lighthouse is seeking a highly-motivated and organized Grant Director to lead and implement the organization’s grant management strategy and process. The Director, Grant Administration is responsible for and oversees all of the United Way Worldwide’s (UWW) grant reporting activities and ensures compliance with all private and federal grant reporting and compliance requirements. This position works directly with UWW program and development staff to review grant requirements for new grants, determine and ensure compliance with the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements outlined in 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance). The Director, Grant Administration will also oversee the creation of the indirect cost proposal and related financial analysis and reporting. The Director, Grant Administration plays an integral role in supporting UWW’s grant portfolio throughout the entire grant life cycle, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, collaborating with stakeholders throughout the application process, monitoring grant progress, facilitating reporting to funders, and providing strategic leadership to UWW.
Key Responsibilities/ Essential Duties: 
The Director, Grant Administration responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Pre-award
<ul>
<li>Support program and development staff in the creation of proposals for new development opportunities, including reviewing and contributing to concept notes, proposals, and budgets. Review all proposal budgets prior to proposal submission, ensuring accuracy, consistency with technical proposal, completeness, and compliance with funder and Uniform Guidance requirements.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of funding mechanisms, funder requirements, budget conditions and spending status for all grants and awards.</li>

Post-award
<ul>
<li>Initiate a grant kick off meeting for all new awards, to include program staff, finance, and other key stakeholders. Ensure that all stakeholders understand the new award budget, timeline for performance, and any funder-imposed limitations as well as reporting obligations, deadlines, and individuals responsible.</li>
<li>Manage and coordinate the approval of agreements, amendments, cost or no-cost extensions for all UWW awards.</li>
<li>Ensure that grants or contracts are well administered, and program/support teams are fully informed of relevant funder compliance regulations and compliance overviews are developed and maintained.</li>

The Community Economic Defense Project (CEDP) is a Colorado-based nonprofit. Launched in 2020 as the COVID-19 Eviction Defense Project, our organization was formed to keep our neighbors housed during the pandemic. Working with clients, we built  a “one-stop-shop”  approach to eviction, foreclosure, and homelessness prevention that centers the legal and financial needs of housing-insecure families and uses a variety of tools to keep them housed. 

Our team now serves more than 1,000 people per month, bringing together housing lawyers, economists, data analysts, policy-experts, organizers, and technologists to serve our clients. In the previous two years, we have distributed more than $100 million in aid and served more than 40,000 Coloradans. We have also contributed to the passage of major legislation to prevent eviction, stop economic abuse, and make credit and life-saving medication cheaper.  CEDP’s model has been cited as a best practice by the White House, HUD, the Urban Institute, and in the media.

More about the Director of Grant Writing Role:
The Director of Grant Writing  is a member of the Strategy Team and manages the proposals and processes that keep CEDP funded to advance its mission. The Director is responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing funding proposals/reports – including nonprofit grants, government procurements, and other contracts – that support CEDP goals and meet funder guidelines and criteria. This person serves as the primary writer for grants and public procurements, manages the relationship cultivation process with funders, engages in compliance reporting, and supports special project initiatives. About the Thriving Communities Grantmaker Project (TCGM)
The Green &amp; Healthy Homes Initiative is one of 11 organizations selected by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to serve as an Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaker. GHHI received $50 million to provide subgrants to community-based nonprofits and other eligible subrecipients in EPA Region 3 for assessment, planning, and project development activities. Grantmakers will alleviate much of the burden that the federal grants process places on small, resource-constrained community-based organizations supporting underserved communities and marginalized populations. The 11 Grantmakers are a combination of community-based nonprofit organizations in potential partnerships with a federally recognized Tribal government or an institution of higher education. Grantmakers will design competitive application and submission processes, award environmental justice subgrants, implement a tracking and reporting system, provide resources and support to communities, all in collaboration with EPA’s Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights.
Position Overview
The Director of Compliance and Grant Management Thriving Communities Grantmaker Program will support the EPA Region 3 Thriving Communities Grantmaker (TCGM) project. Region 3 covers Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, D.C., and seven Tribal Nations. The TCGM Project, in collaboration with the EPA, will award $40 million in EPA funding, flowing from the Inflation Reduction Act, to fund eligible projects in historically disinvested communities throughout EPA’s Region 3. McClendon Center, founded in 1980, is a certified community based service provider operating under the District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health.  As a leading not-for-profit organization in Washington, DC, the McClendon Center provides outpatient behavioral rehabilitation to the mentally ill by fostering creativity, promoting friendship, instilling independence, and providing an outlet for emotional growth and greater participation in the community. Accredited by Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the McClendon Center operates several programs including Core Services and Day Services. 
Job Description
The Development Director leads revenue-generating fundraising and development activities for the organization.  The Development Director cultivates and maintains positive relationships with current and potential donors and serves as a liaison with management staff throughout the organization.  This individual has an immediate impact on the organization’s fundraising and development activities and messaging.  The Development Director works closely with the Board’s Resource Development Committee.  The Development Director collaborates with a team of professionals that provide resource development support to the Center. This position occasionally requires work outside of normal business hours, and at locations that may be off-site. This position will have three core focuses: donor relations, fundraising events and activities, and grants.  
<ul>
<li>Researches corporations and foundations, and identifies opportunities for corporate sponsorships.</li>
<li>Writes foundation grants and increases amounts funded year-over-year.</li>
<li>Maintains professional and friendly relationships with foundation grantors, and updates them on how their grant funds are being utilized throughout the year.</li>
<li>Obtains contacts for potential donors from Board members, makes telephone or in-person contact and introduces donors to the President and CEO.</li>
<li>Meets with each Board member prior to the end of each calendar year to determine individual Board member giving, additional fundraising activities, and ways in which the Board member will be an ambassador and advocate for the Center; these are consolidated into a plan for each Board member and shared with the Development Committee.</li>
<li>Utilizes Every Action (CRM) to track donor cultivation and to ensure that the Center's donor history is properly maintained.</li>
<li>Contacts each past donor at least annually, and maintains an active list of potential donors who are in the various stages of being cultivated.</li>
<li>Creates consistent language and materials to be used by Board members and agency staff members for giving and sponsorship opportunities.</li>
<li>Collaborates with existing resource development partners to ensure consistent messaging is occurring that speaks to the Center's mission and branding.</li>
<li>Prepares weekly update lists of all activities and distributes to the President/CEO and the Chief of Staff.</li>
<li>Sets, monitors, and achieves annual fundraising goals. </li>
<li>Stays current on behavioral health trends and legislation that are likely to affect agency funding.</li>
<li>Collaborates with a team of professionals that provide resource development support to the Center.</li>
<li>Plans and coordinates the Center's annual fundraising events. </li>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelors degree required.</li>
<li>At least three years of fundraising experience in a nonprofit environment.</li>
<li>Able to articulate strategies for soliciting and cultivating gifts, sponsorships, and grant writing.</li>
<li>Familiarity with CRM management (EveryAction or similar databases).</li>
<li>Proven ability to speak and write in a concise and persuasive manner.</li>
<li>Able to use various databases to run reports.</li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge of sound and ethical fundraising principles.</li>
<li>A superior communicator who readily shares information concisely.</li>
<li>Articulate and personable, able to convey a positive image of the agency externally, and credible and reliable for staff internally.</li>
<li>Able to multi-task and stay cool under pressure.</li>
<li>Must be mature and patient, demonstrate good judgment and integrity, and be persuasive and friendly.</li>
