SUMMARY: Perform a variety of duties to prepare to ship and receive finished goods and raw materials in accordance with specified requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Work with and understand work orders and purchase orders, written and verbal instructions for shipping and receiving a variety of materials.</li>
<li>Prepare freight in accordance with work orders and purchase orders. </li>
<li>Verify all incoming or outgoing freight is proper material weight, container, label, palletizing, and wrapping as specified on work order or purchase order.</li>
<li>Verify all freight and notify Production Office of any inventory variance.</li>
<li>Resolve or bring any problems to attention of department supervisor.</li>
<li>Complete work orders and purchase orders by recording quantities, lot numbers, and any other required information on the work order or purchase order.</li>
<li>Load and unload trucks using forklift, pump jacks and barrel handling equipment.</li>
<li>Follow prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations.</li>
<li>Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, damage, questionable conditions of material to department supervisor.</li>
<li>Maintain work areas, warehouse aisles, main floor, and facility grounds and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.</li>
<li>Upon completion of daily production, record completed work orders and purchase orders on respective logs and distribute freight to specified areas in warehouse and grounds.</li>

Salary: 
Reporting to the LOGISTICS &amp; MATERIALS MANAGER the SHIPPER/RECEIVER will be responsible for daily operations and plant requirements as it relates to the running of the plant. Materials coordinators will directly act as the key point of contact for the plant teams and suppliers.  The role will require utilization of the ERP/MRP system for optimized results and management.  The SHIPPER/RECEIVER ensures incoming product quantity, pricing and quality matches the purchase order or Bill of Materials requirements and supports stock levels and organization of job kits for tool builds.  Internal customer satisfaction is the SHIPPER/RECEIVER responsibility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Manage shipping/receiving function and oversee documenting incoming materials at plant location.</li>
<li>Lead incoming and outbound materials management and distribution for jobs and overall division.</li>
<li>Support Logistics &amp; Materials Manager efforts to reduce and optimize inventory and turns.</li>

<h3>Job Description</h3>
Full-time opening for a Shipping and Receiving Associate in Billerica MA.
Pay is $25/hr-$29/hr
The client offers full-time employees a competitive package of benefits. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity.
<ul>
<li>Maintain DOT and IATA certifications.</li>
<li>Prepare domestic and international shipments, including dangerous goods shipments. Perform packaging, labeling, and generation of DG declarations, commercial invoices, EEIs, BOLs, and other documents and labels as required per current DOT/IATA regulations.</li>
<li>Interact with customs, freight forwarders, commercial trucking services, Fed Ex, and UPS. Provide information for the most cost-efficient methods to meet customer requirements.</li>
<li>Inspect customer-packaged shipments for compliance with DOT/IATA requirements and work with customers to ensure the correctness of materials used to package samples to be shipped from the site. Provide instruction and training for employees when requested/required.</li>
<li>Interact with offsite storage providers and internal customers to ship and maintain site inventory for materials and equipment.</li>
<li>Operate a forklift to transport goods and materials throughout the plant. Operate other equipment such as pallet handlers, hand trucks, etc.</li>
<li>Sort and deliver mail. Print postage to support mailing projects as required.</li>
<li>Verify packaging inventory levels to support shipping supply ordering.</li>
<li>Ensure the workspace remains clean and orderly. Utilize 5S principles and practices.</li>
</ul>
Requirements
<ul>
<li>Microsoft Office, Oracle, FedEx, UPS, DHL software experience preferred.</li>
<li>Experience shipping DG per DOT/IATA regulations preferred.</li>
<li>Proven ability to operate forklifts and other warehousing equipment.</li>
<li>Ability to lift 50 lbs.</li>
