Department Chair Of Kinesiology And Health Ames, IA Full Time R18065 Position Title: Department Chair of Kinesiology and Health Appointment Type: Faculty Job Description: The Department of Kinesiology and Health in the College of Health and Human Sciences at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, seeks a Professor and Chair of the department.  Department/Program &amp; College Description: The Department of Kinesiology and Health is one of five units in the College of Health and Human Sciences, with 12 tenure-track faculty, 16 term faculty members, and 12 Professional and Scientific staff. Faculty, staff, and graduate students contribute to a vibrant culture of scholarly inquiry and externally supported research, advancing knowledge and practice. Approximately 1100 undergraduate students pursue majors in kinesiology and health, making it one of the largest academic departments in the university. The Department also offers a master's degree in athletic training, master's degree in digital health, and both master's and Ph.D. degrees in kinesiology. Currently, more than 80 graduate students are enrolled in these programs. The Department includes the Exercise Clinic, 15 research laboratories (including biomechanics, clinical vascular exercise intervention, and microscopy and histology), and 5 teaching laboratories (including athletic training, biomechanics/motor control, and exercise physiology). This position is a full-time role reporting to the CEO and is akey member of the leadership team. The Managing Director willmanage the Global Philanthropists Circle, a global network withmembers from 30 countries that supports values-drivenphilanthropists and social investors to better address systemiccauses of poverty and inequity. General Summary:&nbsp;&nbsp;Under the direction of the University President, the Vice President for Administration &amp; Finance serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the University.&nbsp;&nbsp;The VPAF administers the University budget as well as supervises the Business Office, Human Resources, Office of Financial Aid, Facilities, Security and Safety, and the Office of Information Technology. The VPAF is also responsible for the outsourced Bookstore, general contract administration, regulation administration, The University’s annual budget, fiscal policies, and other services as assigned.&nbsp;&nbsp;The VPAF works closely with various State of North Dakota governing and regulating agencies.
Primary Responsibilities:&nbsp;
Business Office&nbsp;- Responsible for the accurate accounting and budgeting of appropriated and non-appropriated funds to include payroll and student accounts. Human Resources&nbsp;- Responsible for talent acquisition, salary administration, employee training, and appropriate application of&nbsp;&nbsp;HR policies, procedures, and practices. May coordinate on the process of position creation and management. Student Financial Aid&nbsp;- Responsible for accurate accounting and disbursement of student financial aid; federal funds, scholarships, grants, waivers, and awards used by students for tuition, books, and fees. Facilities Management&nbsp;- Responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of all buildings and grounds of the University.&nbsp;&nbsp;Provides oversight for new construction and renovation of buildings. Vice President of Administration and Finance

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Finance at Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) has oversight of the financial, risk management and information technology operations of the organization. In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Director of Finance is delegated a high degree of responsibility to recommend and implement fiscal policies and procedures in partnership with university colleagues to ensure that ASI operates appropriately within the financial policies of the California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees and the University, while sustaining sound business practices, and strengthening the financial health of ASI.
The Director of Finance will sit as a non-voting member and serve as an advisor to the ASI Student Board of Directors, which doubles as the Sacramento State Student Government. &nbsp;&nbsp;
The ASI Director of Finance serves as ASI administrator in charge in the absence of the Executive Director.&nbsp;
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Accounting 
<ul>
<li>Oversees the supervision and management of all aspects of the functional areas of the Accounting Services department, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, cashiering, fixed asset management, internal controls, policy development and implementation, legal, and audit compliance as well as maintenance of the general ledger.</li>
<li>Provides insight and education regarding ASI and CSU Sacramento budget and financial operations to the ASI Student Board of Directors, full-time staff, student-staff, campus partners and the student community at a level of their understanding.</li>
<li>Oversees the preparation of the annual financial statements and 990 for ASI and the Union WELL.</li>
<li>Facilitates implementation of quality standards and priority criteria for service processes.</li>
<li>Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through assessment, staff training, and resource development. Ensures compliance with state and federal tax laws and reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Ensures compliance with all internal controls and identifies potential improvements to increase efficiency of operations and security of company assets.</li>
<li>Evaluates changes in policies, laws, and available resources for impacts and adjustments to related policies, procedures, and staff responsibilities.</li>
<li>Coordinates plans for testing, training, and implementing new and upgraded financial systems.</li>
<li>Manages corporate response to auditors during the annual external audit, CSU audits, and other agency audits.</li>
<li>Prepares reports and supporting documentation for year-end financial statements and state and federal income tax filings.</li>

<li>Develops long-term capital funding plans and budgets including maintaining appropriate reserve increases.</li>

Fiscal Services
<ul>
<li>Serves as an advisor to the ASI Student Board of Directors. Provides guidance and support to all elected ASI student officers, especially the ASI Student Vice President of Finance, in the fulfillment of their responsibilities, and to student club and organization officers on the use of ASI funds.</li>
<li>Organizes, directs and supervises the preparation of ASl's annual budget in accordance with the guidelines provided by the ASI Finance and Budget Committee.</li>
<li>Implements the approved budget, and works with ASI department directors to ensure that operations remain within the scope of the approved budget.</li>
<li>Coordinates with the ASI Student Vice President of Finance in the annual budget review process.</li>
<li>Develops and presents ASI budget to the ASI Student Board of Directors and reports on budget status throughout the year to the Student Board of Directors.</li>

<li>Oversees internal audit plan; acts as liaison to external audit firm.</li>

POSITION OVERVIEW
SEO saw rapid and unprecedented expansion during the pandemic,prompting the need to grow and redesign our C-suite. Over the lastthree years, we have welcomed three new Executive Committee membersto oversee critical functions within the organization— SEOProfessional Programs, SEO Scholars Program, and nationaloperations. In the same period, we have also doubled theorganization's workforce and budget, expanded SEO's regionalfootprints in North Carolina and Miami, and opened a second site inOakland, CA, to accommodate our growing Scholars program in SanFrancisco.
The SEO Chief Advancement Officer is responsible for strategicdevelopment planning and activities supporting the NYC SEO Scholarsprogram and SEO general program/operating support, representing 40%of organization's $51M budget with the goal to grow support by 50%over next 3 years. A particular focus will be on nationalfoundations, corporate donors, and major individual donors. The CAOis expected to be a front-line national relationship builder andmajor donor solicitor, managing a portfolio of prospects, andsupervising an approximately nine-member development team.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) William Goodloe,the CAO will be a leader in lifting the current org-widedevelopment efforts to new levels of success by broadening ways toattract and more deeply engage with national foundations,corporations, and individual philanthropists over time – to becomestrategic sources of revenue. The CAO will also work closely withSEO’s professional programs and its Marketing &amp; Communicationsteam to utilize SEO’s legacy of impact closing opportunity gaps toincrease national brand recognition as a whole. RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising:

<li>Drive a strategy to raise roughly an additional $10 - 15m+ inannual revenue for SEO general program support and Scholars programsupport from a variety of philanthropic sources (annual giving,major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, alumni) andspecial events (an annual gala that consistently generates $8m+ inunrestricted funds and several smaller events focused on theScholars program and general SEO support).</li>
<li>Leverage SEO’s existing ecosystem and activate SEO’s untappednetworks within the spaces where the organization currentlyoperates, including private equity and corporate partnerorganizations.</li>
<li>In collaboration with the CEO, senior staff and Board ofDirectors, develop long-range strategies to significantly increasephilanthropic giving and serve as the key strategist for specific“asks.”</li>
<li>Build and streamline a development model that accounts formajor donor funding from various avenues, including those ofpartner and expansion offices, to ensure coordination and maximizedonor engagement.</li>

Reporting to IRAP’s Executive Vice President, External Relationsand Chief of Staff, the Vice President (VP), Development will be anintegral member of the IRAP team, and involved in theorganization’s overall strategic development. They will oversee andmanage the organization’s fundraising strategy, development, andexecution, and will build key infrastructure and contacts tostrengthen and sustain its activities. <li>With the support of the Development Operations team, provideregular analysis and reporting on the overall performance offundraising against goals and Annual Plan.</li>
<li>Actively manage the Development departmental budget, bringingrisks and opportunities to the attention of the EVP, ExternalRelations and Chief of Staff.</li>
<li>In collaboration with the Senior Director of Communications,devise and implement compelling and consistent external messaging,and build consistent and recognizable identity to further IRAP’sbrand and enhance visibility.</li>
<li>Identify, develop, and mentor the Development team, and fostera team culture of accountability, collaboration, honesty, respect,and joy.</li>
<li>Indirectly manage a team of Development professionals who aremembers of the union.</li>
<li>Together with the Development team, advance DEIAB efforts infundraising, including elevating client and partner voices, andsupporting Development’s role in the achievement oforganization-wide DEIAB goals.</li>

Qualifications
Education
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree required.</li>
</ul>
Experience
<ul>
<li>At least ten years of professional experience in amission-driven, nonprofit organization.</li>
<li>Demonstrated success in a Development function/role/position(managing and forging relationships with multiple donorsources).</li>
<li>Five years of management or supervisory experience required;supervisory experience in a unionized environment preferred.</li>
<li>Experience in building a dynamic and effective fundraisingprogram, designed to grow with time and the expanding needs of theorganization.</li>
<li>Experience working with Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge or other CRMdatabase management systems is a plus.</li>
</ul>

Location
The candidate will work in one of IRAP’s U.S. offices in NewYork City or Washington, DC, but remote work candidates will beconsidered. The position must be able to work within EST workhours, +/- two hours, to facilitate team collaboration.
Job-related Requirements
This position does not require regular office presence.
This position requires the ability to travel (approximately sixtimes per year, including possible international travel),occasional work outside daytime business hours to meet withsupporters and participate in cultivation opportunities, andrepresent IRAP at external events/meetings as and whenrequired.
Compensation
IRAP strives for equity and transparency in its compensationpractices. Compensation is based on experience, education, andinternal equity. The salary for this role is in a range based onmarket data and will be between $158,772 - $180,071.
