Responsibilities

<li>Perform incoming quality checks on production material

Preferred Qualifications

<li>Understanding of wiring diagrams and ability to build one-off wiring harnesses using proper tools (wire stripper, crimper, etc).

<li>Electronic bench testing experience with PCBs using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.

Description
Position Summary: The purpose of this job is to perform a very wide variety of electrical maintenance tasks
including but not limited to maintenance work such as: installation, fabrication, assembly, set-up, diagnosis,
troubleshooting maintenance work on plant equipment, services and facilities requiring the use of hand and
maintenance tools and skills. Work from blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Uses programming software to troubleshoot issues on PLCs, Robots, HMIs, using RSLogix
500/5000, Fanuc Robotics teach pendant, etc.
· Makes updates and changes to plant documentation using AutoCAD Mechanical / Electrical
· Performs troubleshooting work on energized lines, circuits and connections with a wide range of voltages
including 110V, 220V and 440V. May work with voltages up to 12,500V at distribution transformers.
· Operates a wide variety of equipment such as, multi-meters, voltmeters, o-scopes, other electrical
diagnostic equipment, carts, ladders, lifts, etc.
· Calibrate sensors, SCRs, and other equipment
· Design, build and implement test equipment to support production and engineering operations
· Provides cross-training for other skills
· Will be a member of a work team that utilizes some business skills such as, writing and entering work
orders, interfacing with plant engineering team, time distribution, quotes and estimates, use of computers
in performance of duties, etc.
· Works independently, coordinates PMs, rebuilds, shutdowns, tasks and other employees as required
· Displays innovativeness when dealing with complex problems, trains others in maintenance techniques
designed for sensitive processes
· Work as a member of a team; writes process documentation; prepares maintenance projects and layouts,
interfaces with customers, vendors and suppliers, responsible for the quality of work, timeliness, work
methods, practices, etc.
Required Qualifications:
· GED or High School Diploma
· 2 year Electrical Technician / Electrician degree preferred
· General understanding of electrical theory and best practices
· Effort equivalent to handling 16-50 lbs., works overhead in tiring awkward positions, performs bench work
repairing instruments and motors, etc.
· Repairs machinery including troubleshooting live circuitry

The Siemens Large Drives Business in New Kensington, PA, is looking for an Electrical Test Technician. In this role and under close supervision, the Electrical Technician will test variable frequency drives, subassemblies, various components, and equipment. You will report directly to the Production Supervisor.
The Electrical Engineering Technician Level I (Production Test Technician) will be responsible to demonstrate product functionality to pre-defined test criteria and utilizing various test equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Tech II and Tech III with connection and energizing of final product with low, medium, and high voltage.
Evaluate and test System Operating Programs to defined Test Plans.
Perform wiring, cable prepping, and assembling as per the wiring diagrams. Read and understand all related drawings including, but not limited to, assembly drawings, bill of material, test procedures
Troubleshoot test issues from schematics, utilize quality notification tools for escalation of issues.
Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work area by utilizing 5S practices and follow prescribed safety regulations.
Adhere to all safety policies and utilize all PPE.
Lift and position products to precise location using overhead crane and other material handling devices (i.e., power jack, fork truck). Move/position product as required.
Test, repair, and perform required maintenance of electrical distribution systems.
Actively participates in Safety and LEAN continual improvement initiatives.
Assist less experienced associates.
Work overtime as required.
May be required to perform other duties as requested, advised, or assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Test equipment knowledge specifically, OHM meters, oscilloscopes, HI Potter, DMM, and Clamp-on CT's.
Proficient use of basic hand and power tools required.
Ability to perform tasks from engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and bills of materials.
Ability to climb to different heights and work at heights above waist level.
Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
Good written and oral communication skills required.
Basic math and problem-solving skills required.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Basic digital literacy required.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Minimum of one year mechanical, electrical, or related experience in a production environment
Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent.
Proficient digital literacy using excel, word, SAP
