The Applicator is responsible for correctly applying herbicides and pesticides to labeled crops from recommendations made by your leader. This position also operates all applicator equipment and performs maintenance on that equipment. This position requires a Class A CDL. 
What your day may look like

Education and experience needed for this position

<li> Experience in operating large equipment is required. </li>
<li> Must be at least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle. Positions requiring a CDL may have differing age requirements.  </li>

<li>Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, highlighting the company's capabilities, services, and value proposition</li>
<li>Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring that terms are favorable to the company and aligned with its strategic objectives</li>
<li>Maintain the CRM system, make outbound calls, and prioritize long-term client relationships over short-term gains</li>
<li>Stay informed about relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the marine industry ensuring compliance and adherence to quality standards</li>
<li>Travel to project and customer sites within the US Northeast &amp; Mid-Atlantic states and internationally approximately 75% of the time</li>
<li>Represent Hornblower Marine and its interests in a professional and expert manner while developing methods to improve the overall professionalism of the territory</li>

</ul>
Requirements &amp; Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in the maritime industry</li>
<li>Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business development strategies in the maritime industry</li>
<li>Extensive experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients in the maritime sector</li>
<li>Strong understanding of the maritime industry, including relations, trends, and key players</li>
<li>Previous experience in distribution, industrial and / or heavy equipment, and a knowledge of high speed diesel engines</li>
<li>Familiarity with shipbuilding, marine engineering, propulsion systems, and other technical aspects of the maritime industry</li>
<li>Understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and pricing strategies to ensure profitability and growth</li>
<li>Experience in negotiating and closing complex contracts and agreements</li>
<li>Willingness to adapt to changing market conditions, customer preferences, and industry regulations to stay competitive and drive business growth</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information, negotiate contracts and build relationships</li>
<li>Experience with Word, Excel and organizational documentation file management systems</li>
<li>Must thrive in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver's license</li>
<li>Must have a valid US Passport</li>
<li>Must be able to board vessels, enter confined spaces with limited visibility and have the ability to climb up and down stairs and/or ladders of varying heights to complete inspections</li>

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 annually plus benefits
