Because of the wide spectrum of presenting problems, it is necessary to have a comprehensive knowledge of psychopathology and to be able to draw upon a wide range of therapeutic strategies in counseling. Perform independent assessment of mental status, diagnosis, level of functioning, dangerousness, and specific needs for service. Screen individual for psychiatric hospitalization. Develop plan with client/family to address immediate needs and plans to obtain services. If client is unwilling to seek services, make decisions regarding involuntary hospitalization based on dangerousness and ability to care for self. Maintain current knowledge of, and contact with, community agencies to make referrals appropriately.</li>

We are currently seeking a full time dispatcher to join our team. Suburban EMS has 3 stations in Northampton County and 1 station in Monroe County. We currently have a night shift opening. 

Our operations include 21 ambulances, 2 QRS units, 20 Paratransit vehicles, over 140 employees, in-house Billing, Education, and Dispatch Departments. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Uses phone, radio, and computer to accept calls, schedules, and dispatches emergency transports in an expeditious manner among hospitals, nursing facilities, medical offices, and private residences, according to established protocols. </li>
<li>Dispatches emergency transports in an expeditious manner, assigning the most appropriate qualified crew to respond. </li>
<li>Schedules and dispatches non-emergency transports in a manner that maximizes efficiency, according to established protocols and without compromising patient care or comfort. </li>

Work Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
Pay Scale: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience

Required Qualifications:

The WelbeHealth PACE program helps seniors stay in their homes and communities by providing medical care and community-based services. We like to do things a little differently, going the extra mile and making a difference in our participants' lives. The WelbeHealth Transportation Dispatcher coordinates all the transportation services provided to participants and potential enrollees. The Transportation Dispatcher also oversees vehicle safety.
Essential Job Duties:
<ul>
<li>Oversee the scheduling of transportation services and ensure both maximum efficiency and high customer satisfaction</li>
<li>Effectively communicate with the drivers on route changes and updates throughout the day to ensure timeliness for participants' appointments</li>
<li>Effectively route participants daily for internal and external appointments, ensuring that participants are on time and driver schedules support appropriate breaks and lunches</li>
<li>Provide timely documentation in the medical record for participants that cancel or are considered no shows, and communicate any missed appointments or cancelations with the clinic team</li>
</ul>
Job Requirements:
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or Equivalency required</li>
<li>Current Valid Class A, B, or C Driver's License in state of employment</li>
<li>Copy of most recent vehicle insurance required</li>
<li>Must have a driver's license for at least five (5) years with no more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at-fault accident in the last three (3) years</li>
<li>Minimum of four (4) years of experience working in a public/private transportation setting</li>
<li>Minimum of two (2) years of experience in working in the dispatcher setting within your market area</li>

Responsibilities
