Soleil Tans is a leader and an innovator in the sun spa industry. Our number one job is to ensure that the time spent in our spa is the best part of our guests day. We do this by providing top level customer service, assisting guests with deciding which service or membership is right for them, and keeping all of our spas and equipment in pristine condition.
This is a part time position but our ideal candidate will be able to commit to at least 12 hours per week (2 or 3 shifts). Starting pay for the position is $15 per hour and you will be making $17 per hour within one year of completing our training and certification program. We also have a generous bonus program based on product and membership sales. Our average Spa Consultant makes an additional $1 to $4 per hour worked through their bonuses. Our staff also gets tips because we go above and beyond for everyone of our guests.
During a typical shift you will need to:

Analyze sensitive and complex labor relations matters to determine appropriate course of action, identify systemic problems, and recommend solutions. Champion the labor relations strategy.</li>
<li>Establish collaborative labor relations with the local union consistent with the collective bargaining agreement and business objectives. Develops and maintains progressive relationships with local union leadership, union committees and business agents and staff representatives.</li>
<li>Actively engages with both hourly employees and support staff out on the machine line. Completes daily walk-throughs to stay informed on business challenges/opportunities.</li>
<li>Reviews and analyzes local CBAs and policies in order to provide recommended positions and changes. Manages the grievance process per the collective bargaining agreement.</li>
<li>Provide guidance to the local management team on the interpretation and administration of the CBAs and all pertinent labor relations topics. Partner with the Labor Relations team for clarification on contract interpretation as required.</li>
<li>Provides training for local leadership who oversee bargaining unit employees on compliance with the negotiated terms of collective bargaining agreements.</li>
<li>Act as a key HR Business Partner supporting plant departments on all aspects of human resources, including organizational and employee development.</li>
<li>Manage all employee and labor relations activities within the site according to established guidelines in accordance with the organization's mission, values, and goals.</li>
<li>Maintains current knowledge of and ensures compliance with federal, state and local labor and employment laws.</li>
<li>Research and develop/recommend solutions and process improvements on HR related projects, processes, and policies aligned to GAF strategy, culture, and business practices.</li>
<li>Strategically contribute to the business objectives by helping plant leaders identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes.</li>
<li>Provide expert advice and coaching where appropriate. Ensure that strong leadership and coaching culture permeates the organization.</li>
<li>Assist the business leader to provide employees with development opportunities and ensure current and future performance standards are met. Champion the Talent Management Process. Support managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the business objectives.</li>
<li>Oversee recruitment, orientation, training, transfers, job postings, and terminations for all positions.</li>
<li>Support Environmental, Health and Safety requirements as needed, to include case management of work-related injuries</li>
</ul>

Requirements

<li>Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field</li>
<li>5+ years of demonstrated labor relations experience (grievances, contract</li>
<li>administration &amp; interpretation, negotiation preparation and participation) in a manufacturing environment</li>
<li>Masters degree in Human Resources</li>
<li>SPHR or PHR certification or SHRM equivalence</li>
<li>Proficiency in Google Suite</li>
<li>Ability to travel 25%</li>
