PRIMARY DUTIES:

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.</li>
<li>Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical documents. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software, preferably Procore.</li>
<li>Experience: 3+ years of experience in construction inspection, with a focus on heavy civil infrastructure. Experience in earthwork, concrete, utility work and/or rail or building systems is a plus.</li>
<li>Certifications: Certification as a Construction Inspector (ACI, NICET, or similar) preferred. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required but can be obtained while under PrimECS employ.</li>
<li>Knowledge: Familiarity with construction specifications, codes, and industry standards in the DMV area. Proficiency in Procore and knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.</li>
<li>Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating reports and coordinating with project stakeholders.</li>

The Inspector is responsible for managing and performing daily construction management and inspection services for various types of VDOT and locality transportation projects. Must have significant experience in roadway/bridge construction, have VDOT certifications, be proficient at reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and shop drawings as well as overseeing construction document controls and enforcing contract compliance.
